Ekholm could play with hammer or Karlsson providing a more diverse game than Kronwall ever will.

Garbage to pick Kronwall, Lindholm & Ekholm should be in!

Hörnqvist, Hagelin looks good in the playoffs..

I think I'm settling for Söderberg, Hörnqvist, Rakell right now. Bringing in size, grit, skill and handedness to the current skill group.

Two more spots to fill after that with Backlund, Berglund, Johansson, Nyquist, Hagelin, Krüger, Silfverberg etc. I have to admit I would like Berglund as 4C, I think we should take the opportunity to go for size.

Kronwall will always have the upper hand on bratsy, spoiled, point producing canadian, pseudotough OHL- and QMJHL-products turned NHL-protected domestically until someone finds out by 25 that they are overpaid and traded to the desert or the prairie for draft picks and bag of puck.

PS. Big players aren't so big at the middle. We're talking WALL of PAIN here!

If we limit kronvallen to defensive zone starts when we are in a 2/3 goal lead (doubt it will ever happen) then we're good. Or maybe water boy duties, can't decide

Get me that Ekholm Lindholm paring now!

Both will say no thanks, must prepare for new season. One will move furniture. Rest from midsummer celebrations. Aquired golf arm.

More like one has his cat's birthday and one has to change his tyres on his car. Swedes are very loyal team players except for when it comes to representing their country.

Steen-Backstrom-Forsberg
D. Sedin-H. Sedin-Eriksson
Landeskog-Zibanejad-Zetterberg
Hagelin-Soderberg-Hornqvist
Wennberg

Hedman-Stralman
Lindholm-Karlsson
OEL-Hjalmarsson
Kronwall

Lundqvist
Markstrom
Lehner

The Sedins has to get favorable matchups, or the top lines of the other big nations will feast on them.

They've lost several steps..

We should recreate Anaheim's shutdown line.

Eriksson-Bäckström-Hörnqvist

Landeskog-Sedin-Sedin

Hagelin-Zetterberg-Silfverberg

Steen-Rakell/Berglund/Wennberg-Forsberg

Johansson, Zibanejad, Larsson, Nyqvist, Arvidsson (aaaahmaazing!), Nylander, Backlund, Burakowsky etc.....

hörnqvist is not so skilled....

why not go with marcus johansson? very speedy, gritty, great skills and having a good season and playoff. he is a hörnqvist - with skill and speed.

Who are going to be the next "forsbergs and sundins"? Sweden have amazing young defenders and that core is definitely set up for years to come, but I dont see any future superstar forwards. Dont get me wrong because nylander, landeskog, zibanejad etc are all great young forwards, but they are not "foppas and sundins" though.

Forsberg is the best swedish forward ever and one of the best forward ever in the world. I think you can be a superstar and still not as good as Forsberg.

I would consider Filip Forsberg and Landeskog to be star players and at least Nylander to have a very good chance of becoming it even if Matthews addition will hurt him. The deph among young forwards is probably better than ever, but it is very hard to predict if a player just going to be a very good player or a superstar, espically if we talk about 2017 draft players and beyond.

But Lias Andersson, Pettersson and Boqvist is definitely players to look up for in 2017 draft, jokers would be Elvenes, Hugg and Davidsson. Lias Andersson have made all time record in PPG in superelit (comparing to other players one year before the draft), Boqvist not far behind and Pettersson have had a good season in allsvenskan, which is very rare for player to have one year before the draft, and had some crazy stats when he come in a started to play in superelit last season.

But off course the safest bet is Forsberg and Nylander.

how about these prospects...Linus Skager, Isac Lundeström, Mattias Samuelsson, Lukas Wernblom.

Hagelin!!

He's playing the best hockey of his career. Him playing with such a speedy and skilled player like Kessel has taken his career up a few notches. For this team, he should be the ultimate lock now. Hope he plays with some speed guys to truly maximize what he can do in this tournament

Not a lock. He's been good though, gonna be instresting to see if he makes it.

Adam Larsson looks like a player who could be really good in a couple of years, he's not ready yet though. Nyquist is making a really good case for himself to be on the team.

For sure, Adam Larsson also seems to be growing as the tournament progresses which is a good sign

Hagelin? Has look much better since he joined Pitts, but superstar? That is a long shoot still. But after this playoff he is a lock on the team, unless you are going to send the whc team.

Larsson had by far his best game so far, but it was against Kazakstan. Overall Larsson has not stand in this tournament. But Nyquist has been pretty good in this tournament he has been our best forward togeheter with Backlund, Omark and Klasen I would say.
