I'm leaning towards him actually. Rask isn't a bad option either but most likely they select Kruger for that spot

Right now our team is not as physical as we want to be. Krüger and Nyquist are outsiders. Those who enter the team must provide size and defense skills.

I actually wouldn't mind Wennberg on this team one bit I've watched quite a few of his games this season and his play is way better than his actual production which is still decent.

Yeah, we do get pretty excited if we get even a remotely decent roster.

I agree we have the depth but not enough edge. Or star players on offense are old.. like really old. The Swedish ice hockey federation and the Swedish clubs don't produce top end quality talent at forward anymore, and there's really no change in sight in 10 years we could be at the Slovakia/Switzerland level if we don't shape up.

I agree, we have 4 in top 30 in scoring (and then no one of them are sedins or zetterberg). This is about what we usually have. But yes we are in a generationshift and that is noticable because our talents like you said really sucked 10 years ago (with the execption of bäckström), which have cause a big leap between this generation and the old.

We have the defense, better than ever. But I would say that this season has been more intresting to see how our young forwards are taking steps forward. We have now many young forwards that are 40-50pish players plus Nylander, Landeskog and Forsberg. Then we also have some intresting forwards in the upcoming drafts, like the younger Nylander.

It's either him Rakell, Zibby, Rakell or Wennberg as a fourth center then who it is between them is just a matter of personal preference. Personally I would probably go with Rakell since he is the most gritty player on the board. I would probably have both backlund and Wennberg on the team in some capacity though just a matter of trying to find a place where they all fit.

Rakell I see more as a winger in this team, and do not forget Rask. But right now before sc and whc, I would probably go with Backlund as the 4th line center. But yeah many are even, so I would be okej with most, as long as they do not go with Kruger or some shl player.

Hahaha Hannula (especially with the Sedins) was just so hilariously wrong that I wasn't even mad. That said I would be surprised but not mad if Arvidsson made it we do lack som top end speed upfront and he probably works harder than anyone on the team.

Lucky us then that hockey is a team sport. We have the third highest scoring top 12 forward group behind Canada and the US, we have the second best D group behind Canada and we have one of those few goalies who can be best in the world for any given stretch.

At least as far as Russia goes we definitely have the upper hand on paper. Their top 6-7 forwards rightfully get a lot of hype but as I pointed out above our top 12 forwards actually outscore theirs, and that's before even mentioning that our forward group's defensive abilities blows theirs out of the water.
