did you not notice that he plays on the 1st line?l I remember he played with Peter Forsberg in 2010 olympics and was just as useless. Hörnqvist has never been good in team sweden.

That's why I never had him on my team. I think a guy like Loui is a lot better in front of the goal than Hörnqvist.

I went back and rewatched some 2010 games last year, Forsberg wasn't that bad. Still able to dish out good passes.

Hörnqvist on the other hand completely invisible. Garbage player. He has nothing on Tomas Holmström infront of the net.

just noticed hörnqvists stats from last few tournaments with sweden. Since 2009 he has 1p in 13 games.

Cmon he's not a garbage player, he has his limitations but brings alot to a team to. He should be used on the 4th line, switch him with Rakell, and Rakell feels like a better fit with Backstrom and Forsberg.

And why you only taking the numbers from 2009 and not before, is it to fit youre opinion of him? Because his numbers before that is actually very good.

I agree, but so many people and "experts" wanted him on the team in the last olympics, now they got him.

Hörnqvist is a to limit player and as you say we have other players that can play infront of the net, he is not at Holmström level at that.

I think that was decided beforehand. This was probably just an opportunity to let Enroth get at least some experience with the team if the unlikely happens and both Lundqvist and Markström go down.

I like how Grönborg built the lines an can see what he was thinking, but the differences I would want after watching todays game. Because now Grönborgs needs to test some things out. Because later he never does it..

Zibby/Wennberg/Rask is just more of what the team has already. Solid, safe players that won't come up with something special. Nylander I don't think has the necessary experience to be a factor at this level yet, but would be an interesting joker I agree.
Nyquist from a pure skill standpoint would be among the best on the forward group and he is a speedy goalscorer which I just think the team lacks. We'll see how it goes but I'm not overly optimistic.

Was pleasantly surprised by silfverberg he was downright excellent at times. Strålman also played really well (although Södergren and Holmgren excaggerated his performance). Dissappointed primarily with Hörnqvist who half-killed that line. Krüger did not look like his NHL stats would imply at all which is encouraging. I saw a lot of good despite the loss.

silfverberg got robbed of a legit assist also. I am going to be mad if silvfer is the 13th forward.

I sorta think he's gonna replace Hörnqvist on bäckis line either him Rakell or Lando (probably not Lando because of soda)

Nyquist would look so good on Backstrom's wing. Would have been a nice option.

Replacing Nyqvist with Alex Steen, Rakell or Hörnqvist with Henrik Zetterberg (adjusting lines thereafter) and Enroth with Lehner - in an alternative Universe without injuries (Kronwall should NEVER have been chosen in the first place regardless). Oh well

Nyquist both deserves it the most and would be the best addition since we lack high end speed and a bit of skill combined, however Zibanejad is probably BPA but he needs a top9 role to be effective and he is trash as a winger

Same here, I'd rather have Zibanejad or Rask over Nylander though because of the experience. Like you see team Finland was really young and many of the young guys inexperience was shining through at times. Young can be good ofc but Nylander hasn't played too many NHL games (although his attitude and killer instinct is psychologically good for team Sweden)

I don't know enough about Wennberg to have an opinion.

Thought Ekholm played a very solid game yesterday. Lindholm is going to have to play a very good game tomorrow to make the lineup.

My only negative view on Ekholm with Karlsson is that he tries to make a lot of offensive plays, taking away from Karlsson who can do these things but better. Karlsson should never take the backseat on a pairing. With Lindholm it might come more naturally that one is defending and one is offensive, but we'll see how it looks.

I would much rather have Johansson/Nyquist over Kruger, Nyquist would probably be my pick.

I think the game was just fine, espically 3v3, there we completly dominated. What is promising is that we become better and better. However we are in a very though group, I would have much rather swich place with either canada or usa in the other group. In our group anyone can win it, it will be small margins and even if we go to semifinal I expect to meet either USA or canada there, not a good reward. So no easy way to winning the whole thing.
