If Kruger is injured, Zibanejad should be in.

A very skilled center / winger with good hands and a terrific eye for the game. A modern power forward with good skating. Likes to go into heavy traffic and play physically. Takes care of defensive duties well and has strong faceoff skills. Very good release. (Matias Strozyk)

All this in only 101 kg!

Anyone else who thinks that the chemistry between Henrik Sedin and Erik Karlsson in PP was not the best?

Zibanejad has skipped at least one WC too many. That works for the older guys but not for him. I also don't think he would bring much to this team.

He played great at the end of the season. But yeah at this point I am more for Nyquist to add to this team, but I wouldnt mind zibanejad, he could be a difference maker. However I think it will be Johansson if Kruger is injured, and I am ok with that to. Worser would be someone like Rask/Wennberg/berglund, not that they are bad players, but they just wouldnt add much.

Can you even invite someone new when the roster is already decided?

Karlsson's ego is too big to work with other players who likes dictating and holding onto the puck - like the twins.

It worked just fine with Bäckström in the olympics where Bäckström was the playmaker and Karlsson act like a mix of Carlsson and Ovechkin. Players follows the orders that has been given by the coach, if there has been any specific orders about this.

I think the PP actually work pretty good for being the first game, but we played mostly in PK, that probably had something to do with the finnish ref.

The team is not set yet, you have to next friday to make changes from what I understand

Nyquist should be called in if Kruger is out. It would start getting ridiculous with so many guys injured and you keep passing over one of the few active swedes who has been anywhere near 30 goals in the NHL.

I agree, but If you would be coach you wouldnt been tempted a little bit by example Johansson diversity, Johansson is a fast player to and has some grit to his game. Zibanejad is also a very intresting player with his speed, size and grit.

Johansson has zero grit to his game, ask any caps fan.

Even if he had grit which he doesn't that isn't what this team needs

Start to look that we assembled every player with an injury on the original team...

Maybe, but he is absolutly a skillfull and fast player that can play on different positions and do we not need that? I think thanks to his diversity to able to play both wing and center that Grönborg will pick him to have as 13th forward. I would have picked Nyquist because of whc.

He is not more skilled than Nyquist and he is most definetely not a better goalscorer which is what we really need. Besides Rakell is a natural center and could sub in as one if one of them were to go down. It's not that Johansson is a bad player but of the players available who are even remotely close he brings less of what we need than literally everyone else.

He have played a lot on both wing and center, if any replacer will come, they will likly be 13th forward, and then I think the coaches like his diversity. I however agree and would have picked Nyquist anyway.

I don't see it with Forsberg, he's been our worst player so far.

Lindholm will be the 7th D. Having a very bad game.
