Karlsson is by far my favourite swedish player, he should play 2 min on PP as he does night in and night out in the NHL, and there should not be any question about it.

I agree with you but your argument is more true for Canada and maybe Russia where you have a ton of high skill players to choose from. In the case of Sweden and Finland, we're limited to what we've got. Finland doesn't have a Selanne and Sweden doesn't have a Sundin.

And about the 50-50 comment... You could say that for every game in this tournament. I would personally give Sweden a small edge over Finland, however, I know full well how competitive the Finns are.

Hmm. the russians are 250 million and have a great hockey culture but all they can accomplish when it comes to NHL players are 5 (Five) lousy 20+ goal scorers. Only ONE defenders score more than 4 goals... And KHL is a Back Alley League.

I wasn't that far off. This was back in March, mind you. Kinda botched the fourth line and Lehner, Steen, Kronwall and Z got injured. (If we are to take the practise lines as what we'll see in the tourney, that is)

Slimmy said:
Alexander Steen - Henrik Zetterberg - *Gustav Nyquist
Niklas Kronwall - Erik Karlsson

Daniel Sedin - Henrik Sedin - Loui Eriksson
Victor Hedman - Anton Strålman

Filip Forsberg - Nicklas Bäckström - *Carl Söderberg
Oliver Ekman-Larsson - Niklas Hjalmarsson

Gabriel Landeskog- *Patrick Berglund - *Joel Lundqvist :naughty:

Henrik Lundqvist
Jakob Markström
*Robin Lehner

*Alexander Edler
*Jacob Silfverberg

So the replacement for zetterberg is scratched. What a non replacement then.

Interesting. Either they aren't taking Finland seriously or they don't want to risk injury on Lundqvist.

Not worried i think markstrom is an excellent goalie and is entering his prime now.

Enroth is garbage though. Lehner is a big loss if Lundqvist is injured.

Lundqvist isn't injured according to any of the major Swedish sources, but he won't start against Finland.

Nightmare scenario: Sweden wins both training games against Finland fairly easy = Sweden underestimates Finland when the tournament starts = Finland wins. So tired of seeing Sweden play below their level when it really matters. I hope they'll fail miserably in one of the pre-tourney games (like losing 5-0). That way they won't be overconfident when the tournament starts.

Enroth have better saveprocent than Markström. Enroth was also part of the team when we won whc the last time.

Markstrom is younger and more talented then Enroth though. Being part of WHC gold isnt a big deal, even Johan Holmqvist did that once.

I take wins over Finland both in pretournament games and during proper tournament. 3-0
