Weber over pk is a sick joke. PK has been better then him in every facet of the game since Sochi.
 
Lol where is Giroux? Giroux plays with bums in Philadelphia and still puts up good numbers. He is heck of player. Giroux should be there IMO.
 
No idea how Giroux snubbed again.

Plays RW as well as C.

Good defensively, elite on faceoffs, one of the best PKers statistically in the NHL.


Oh... he also leads the NHL in points this decade and is top 5 in PPG in that time.


And he has turned out at the World Championships each time Canada have called. (pushing Seguin and Stamkos to wing on same line and Crosby to 2C as the tournament went on last year.)
 
People complaining about why Vlasic and Carter are there in the top 16 really should watch some more west-coast games. Carter can play in any situation on any forward position, has been a vital part of the Kings organizations since the day he was acquired. Same people complained about why Carter was on the olympic team.

Meanwhile, Vlasic is one of the best shutdown dmen in the game today.

First pair is.

When you consider that Sweden can put out

Hedman-Karlsson
OEL-Hjalmarsson

or the USA can put out

McD-Faulk
Suter-Carlson

its close for who has the best top four. I'd say that Canada definitely have the best first pair. Nothing touches Keith-Doughty, the two best defenseman in the world.
 
All the people complaining about snubs realize this is not the full roster, right?

I'm surprised they named all three goaltenders at this point, when they didn't really need to.

Also surprising is the inclusion of Getzlaf and omission of Perry. Was hoping for Giroux over Getzlaf or Stamkos. Defense is as expected.
 
Are people really upset that Vlasic made the team? Yeesh. What more does the guy need to do. He's an elite two-way player with tons of international experience. It's a no brainer.
 
Waiting for some more "[Player] being selected over [player from my team] is such a joke" comments.

It's all fans of Eastern Conference teams who probably don't stay up to watch many Sharks games who are upset. He's a beast and paired with Doughty one of the best pairs in the tourney with ease.
