Looks like Malkin is officially out due to injury.
If it's 6 weeks or less not necessarily. If it's 8 - sure.

Will they add players as teams get eliminated from the KHL playoffs or will they add a second group of players after the whole KHL playoffs are over?
Now that SKA is out, which players do you think will be added to the World Championship roster?
he will be called. last year tikhonov was garbage in the playoffs especially and got repeatedly benched, if i'm not mistaken. that didn't prevent him from being invited. and kovy is a way better player.Really doubt that Kovalchuk should be called up in this situation.
Not the WC roster, the camp roster:
Shipachev, Dadonov, Gusev, Buchnevich, Kovalchuk
Chudinov, Voynov, Yakovlev, Belov
Any news on any of these players being called to WC camp?
The coach just announced that Kovalchuk is not in his plans this year. So, it would appear Kovalchuk's season has come to an end.

When is Znarok going to release the next group of names? After the next two matches?
Whom do they get out of the NHL? Emelin, Tryamkin, Kalinin, Plotnikov, Tikhonov, Grigorenko, Marchenko (the latter isn't out of the playoff race yet)?
