I think usually players are added as soon as they are out of play-offs.

Players get a break from camp. The camp will resume on 1st April with a new roster. some guys will be realeased to be replaced by players out of the KHL playoffs.

he will be called. last year tikhonov was garbage in the playoffs especially and got repeatedly benched, if i'm not mistaken. that didn't prevent him from being invited. and kovy is a way better player.

I was wrong with Kovalchuk, but it tells me there is much more about the Kovalchuk case than a player/coach quarrel. I guess we won't get to know what it is.

Znarok was very clear about not giving more names for now than Kovalchuk(out), Bobrovsky(in) and Sorokin(most probably in).

NHL-ers are expected to start to arrive on 15-th of April.

If the season ends like it is currently and everyone is healthy, then I'd say Datsyuk, Marchenko, Kalinin (maybe), Markov, Yemelin, Bobrovskiy, Varlamov, Plotnikov, Tikhonov.

This is kinda pessimistic, no?

As of now we could get Datsyuk, Markov, Emelin, Kucherov, Nesterov, Namestnikov, Marchenko, Tryamkin. Others have no busines on the team.

With the news of the meldonium drug forcing Russia to change the U-18 WJC team completely, are there any fears some players from senior level won't be seen at the Worlds.

I think KHL has regular doping tests and NHL don't have meldonium, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Markov is doubtful to arrive though, as his wife will give birth to a baby around that time.
