What are your thoughts on Ottavainen? For defensive defencemen you can't really go by the stats at all. I like his size, could he be an NHLer?

Yes. I am guessing that Fleury is not re-signed and Ottovainen is our main callup (or even #7) for next season at D. This is assuming that we re-sign Josh Mahura as our #6D. Ottavainen could be a solid option as a stay at home D-man for us.What are your thoughts on Ottavainen? For defensive defencemen you can't really go by the stats at all. Do we have any reporters that cover Kraken prospects, even incidentally? Like for my Blue Jackets there are some semi-amateur reporters around the club (formerly including Alison Lukan of the Kraken broadcasts, who started as a Jackets blogger). Some who cover prospects in detail, like Mark Scheig.
Do we have anyone on the Kraken reddit who watches a lot of CV or writes scouting reports on Coachella Valley players? Something like that?
I ask because there is just no easy way for me to check my expectations on a player like Ottavainen. I did watch CV in their playoff runs and occasionally to check in on Wright, but not the other players.
I get into the draft late every season and there is more written about those players, and more info about CHL in general. So I can see more commentary on Caden Price. But once he goes to CV (next year?) he will be entering the dark zone where no info gets out.
Sound of Hockey have Curtis Isacke who crunches numbers and has a nice statistical overview. I do think he watches Coachella in person too from time to time, but that's only something I've inferred from his writing. Maybe someone else knows more.

Not sure this is what you are looking for. It's good info but it does feel heavy on the number crunching and light on the more personal content.
I genuinely don't know what the plan is but hopefully things get clear after next Friday. If the ownership really plans on pushing through the lip service of "pushing for the playoffs" then all bets are off. On the other hand, if they move more than just Tanev and Gourde, there should be spots created on the roster automatically.Looks like Winterton scored the lone goal and finally snapped his pointless streak since being sent down. Hope that gets him going again. Crossing fingers some trades happen and a few players get some games (Winterton,Nyman, Sale, Firkus, etc) with the kraken but assuming they want all the kids down for another Calder cup run.
