WC: 2016 Team Russia

I never waited for him. I have no idea why Philadephia signed him after a major 2 year long decline.

I definitely want to go to a tournament in Russia sometime if I can make it.

Where are Panarin and Anisimov ?
Plotnikov, Tikhonov, Galuzin are just mediocre players not sure why are those still there.
Gusev and Buchnevich should definitely stay.
 
Pathetic offense. Pathetic Varlamov.

So far the best player for Russia is Yakupov. Active and diligent.
So many goal opportunities but they are simply unable to score.

Players which cannot use the goal opportunities are not worthy NHL nor national jersey at all.
Tikhonov, Dadonov and Plotnikov just meh.

Shipachev and Dadonov will end their NHL fairy tale same as Tikhonov and Plotnikov.

That's too few. After the first game against the Czech they can easily cruise with 3 lines and 5 defencemen until the NHLers are free.

But Znarok will probably leave one D-man spot open for Nesterov or Orlov and 2 forward spots for Malkin/Ovechkin,Kuznetsov and Kulemin/Kucherov, Namestnikov

Yeah you guys will get 1 of Malkin/Ovechkin. Kucherov should be available too and he's been playing great.

Russias first real test isn't until the 17th against the Swedes. The way the rosters look, I think Russia should be favoured in that one too. I wouldn't be surprised to see you guys go undefeated in your group.

I hope Yakupov plays well, I've always liked him on my team in Edmonton. Yakupov always tries his very best every time he's on the ice.

I'm not from Russia myself, but I lived in Canada for quite a while. I hope that you'll get around to fulfilling your wish to enjoy a tournament in Russia :). I hope to visit Russia someday.

Yes, he hit the post against Finland and was definitely skating and trying hard. He made one silly mistake though, handed over the puck in attmepting to make a very long pass and it almost ended up costing Russia a goal.
