I think Neidermeyer and Crosby had that in their minds when they went when people didn't expect them to go.
 
Well at least we seem to be getting some players, the U.S is getting a "no thanks" from most of what was supposed to be their key guys.

Up front we are looking fantastic, no need to try and be positive. With McDavid, Hall, and Duchene, we'll likely have the most skilled and dangerous forwards, add in O'Reilly and we probably have the best two way center.

All we need on defense is one solid #1 guy, and another good top pairing guy and we'll be looking really good.

Possible but I doubt it. Niedermayer won the tournament before the IIHF really started promoting its "club". I can see Crosby wanting to win the tournament for the sake of winning it, but not because of the IIHF's promotion. The whole concept behind the "club" is nonsensical. It's like the Montgomery Burns award for outstanding achievement in the field of excellence. Being rewarded for wining awards.

Excellent!!!!!!!!! That is the best description for it. and henceforth it shall be referred to as such. The Montgomery Burns award for outstanding achievement in the field of excellence, awarded for wining awards.

Haven't seen an official confirmation, but I trust the source, usernamewastaken posted it.

with Stone confirmed, that leaves 5 spots open. I hope they manage the roster a little better than last year and leave a spot for some significant post 1st.rd. additions. I'm banking on J.T.

If Stone, Marchand and company are all in, this is shaping up to be a forward group loaded with two way players. Still need a legitimate number 1 defenceman.
