We do this last year and BUF still finishes 30th, maybe we finish 29 and EDM wins the lotto.

There was no beating Buffalo's ineptitude. They were -112! We have to lose every single game remaining by 4 goals to reach that level of suck.

If Marner is in the lineup then I would rather have him on Kadri line, we really need good solid D'man trading Bozak and JVR can get you a package

You're confused. If Pitt misses the playoffs we get to "keep" their 2016 2nd round pick instead.
If they make the playoffs in 2017 we will also get their 1st round pick. however, we must give up our 2nd round pick which will likely be around 31-35.
If Pitts misses the playoffs 2017 we get their 2017 2nd round pick, in addition to their 2016 2nd rounder, with no other picks given back to Pitts.

Hopefully Calgary can comeback and get 1 or 2 points tonight against San Jose, because it will make it easier to swallow Toronto getting 1 point tonight. They are in the 2nd intermission and only losing 1-0.

not entirely accurate

it's not "get" their 2016 2nd , we already have it , we just get to keep it

if we get pitt 2016 1rst we give their 2016 2nd back
 
In the end, it's a long road ahead. Been quite the season, but almost through this one. I do think next year will be more entertaining though I don't know about the results. This one was better than the one before because this team actually tries and doesn't just give up. Next year will have more young talent which should make for more fun. And then we'll see how things go.

no thanks, I'd rather have little marner sheltered on the 3rd line coming out of the CHL.

Don't forget Arizona's epic second half tank. At one point, they almost passed the all time greatest tank team, the Sabres.

There's no way we would finish last, last season.

simply because they finally woke up and saw what this team really was

you had m***ns last year that thought this was a playoff team.:shakehead

Definitely a surprise loss in the end. The one point doesn't mean much when Buffalo gains two and Buffalo is now 10 points ahead of the Leafs with the Leafs having 2 games in hand.

That March 21st game between the Flames and the Leafs is going to be pretty big that's for sure.
