I think if Sakho goes on loan he could be as good as gone in the next window or a year from now.

I'm not going to argue with it in terms of his professionalism or work ethic, because I don't get to see any of that. But it seems like a dangerous game from a depth standpoint. Which either tells me that Klopp really wants him out, or that he rates him going forward and wants to see him play.

A loan would clearly be the result of a coach wanting the player gone, but the club not being ready to dump him completely or unable to find a satisfactory bid; but Kloppo's problem with him is not just the joke Evilo.

Could be that they want time to calculate their move and not force a sale in 36 hours.

And I was mocking it until you came flying in with attacks.

You just said you defended Ben Arfa for his talent even though he had character issues. My head is spinning.

you literally did say that: I don't really care one way or another. Either way, the media's opinion carries little weight for me.
I said I defended Ben Arfa for his skills not his character.

As for the media here, insiders love the person on and off the pitch, even insiders that didn't like his football skills (like Ceremony).

Not surprised after :
1- Marquinhos has surpassed him.
2- the terrible terrible management of Emery last weekend. Luiz made one mistake (gave up a penalty) in an otherwise solid start of the season and needing two goals down, Emery put Meunier instead of Luiz.
Awful management of a guy who not only has played well in his PSG career but is also beloved by the players.

Rumor is that Matuidi hasn't given up on leaving PSG after Emery has failed to start him in 3 straight L1 games.

Emery is losing this team in 3 weeks of competition

If Luiz goes to Chelsea, hopefully PSG makes a move for Sakho.

But knowing El Khelaifi he'll refuse to sell Luiz anyway.

It just makes no sense for Chelsea. It makes some sense, but Luiz is not a fit with Conte.

No idea what it is then. We're told here it's about being late at the airport.

It's all of the above. The various things he's done that look like a lack of seriousness; including being late & the joke, combined with his unreliable fitness; have just rubbed Klopp the wrong way and left him with no faith in the player. If LFC can get a big fee for him they should just sell him now, but if they can't make that happen before the window closes; a loan is better than having him sitting on his ass for 4 months.

Emery is a shrewd coach... give him time before you write him off.
I will. PSG was spectacular in preseason and in the Trophée des Champions.
But since then it's been extremely disappointing and his management last weekend was borderline stupid (see the L1 thread for more details).

Some things have evolved well (unleashing Kurzawa finally, starting Marquinhos though that was on the way last season) but the midfield choices have been horrific and Ben Arfa has been alienated already.

Did you know that an article today stated Verratti isn't happy with Emery's tactics and regrets Blanc (Italy's coach being the source in an interview)?

If Emery alienates Matuidi, Verratti, Luiz and Ben Arfa he should be fired ASAP.

So Nice is supposed to sign Balotelli AND Belhanda tomorrow. And get Grenier on loan.
Their team is very very good in midfield and solid in defense. IF those three can bounce back Ben Arfa style, this is going to be a huge team.

I like Favre's all on the ground style too.

I guess I'm gunna have to watch Nice regularly this season as well...my gf is going to hate this sport pretty soon...

Belhanda & Grenier should fit Favre's style beautifully and the swiss tactician is good at getting odd characters like Ballo to perform...even if I'm a little more questionable about how well he'll fit their style than I am the first two.

Shame HBA didn't stay for one more season. He would've been absolutely unreal under Favre.

Ooooohhhhh, so you were in Liverpool and so you can tell us how that message didn't go through.
Because there wasn't a single incident reported since the LA one. But I'm sure you know better?
If you want to stick with another of favourite French boys, fine, bet on the slowest horse in the race. Klopp hasn't mistreated any of the guys in Dortmund, and is the furthest thing from some authority freak. If he's fed up with Sakho, then Sakho messed up a ton.

Sakho was considered a great character at Paris. If Klopp mistreats him, it's his fault.

See, that can work both way.

Yeah, and everyone can and will judge which version is more likely. A rich kid suddenly acting up, or an established top coach suddenly switching principles.

Also, I wonder who even thought he was a great character in Paris. They let him go pretty easily, and his talent back then was certainly well enough known.

Funniest thing in this thread is that he's going to play for Sunderland and nobody else makes the connection that other clubs think he has problems. Otherwise he would be going somewhere much better.

Also you guys keep talking about him going to other teams for some odd reason.

Ceremony never rated him. He saw it all before us.
