Hull go up to 15 senior players as they sign Ryan Mason for a club record fee but don't say how much the fee actually is

I don't agree with what's happened with Sakho, but it wasn't only his joke.

He showed up late to the team's flight to the US and made everyone wait at the airport.

He missed training.

Then he showed up late for a team meal.

This all happened over three or four days.

Burn him.

Or send him to Stoke, same thing really :D

They were offered more than what they bought him for...

And if they aren't gonna play him I'd take the profit

I've heard lots of talk about Son and his transfer but nowhere have I read that Spurs aren't planning on playing him. He was away at the olympics and just recently returned. He won't be in the strongest starting 11 but he'll be an important sub for Spurs. They don't have many players that are better than him. They'll need him and all the other help they can get, especially with champions league football around the corner.

I think he should start over Lamela personally

Kane
Eriksen - Allí - Son
Wanyama - Dier
Rose - Toby - Vert - Walker
Lloris

He really only has himself to blame. Immaturity from the look of it. It's also not like he didn't have a bit of a run in with Rodgers. Maybe that explains some of why he never wanted to pick him.

He's a player who could be one of the best at his position, but he's close to ending up at a mediocre club with no future.

Really?
I'd say Kopp's "go prove yourself at Stoke on loan or be benched, but I won't sell you" bit is a huge proof of immaturity as well.

Not showing up on time and missing meetings is immaturity.

Leaving the stadium because you weren't picked in the team is immaturity.

As for Klopp's wanting to loan him, I don't know that it's immaturity. It's understanding they have a contract with a player who needs to improve, get on the pitch, stay healthy and show some commitment.

So you want a guy to improve, get on the pitch and show some commitment and... you send him to Stoke on loan?

I mean are we taking adults here?

A coach enforcing team rules and holding guys accountable that repeatedly show they don't care is "huge proof of immaturity"? That's creative.

I think it's his way to punish him...
Personally I would rather see him selling him rather than loaning him.

You'll show some commitment elsewhere or I'LL BENCH YOU ! :biglaugh:

Maybe he wants him to be committed in being a professional without having to worry about his behaviour on the team?

I'll never rate the player but it's not a totally irrational move by klopp

Erh, totally not what I said.
But, OK.

Punish him (already did BTW), fine him, heck, SELL HIM.
But the "go prove yourself at Stoke or I'll bench you stuff"? Hilarious you can find a way to defend that.

Loaning him is totally irrationnal. Again, he could just sell him and be done with him.

I think it would depend on the opposition. I like Lamela, he has a fantastic work rate and is very creative. But against weaker team I would play Son. He is much more direct and dangerous in front of goal. He can create out of nothing.

Whether you said it or not, that's what this is.

And the punishment/fine seemed to not do the trick for Sakho. Some players are a little slow with getting these messages through their head.

But the "go prove yourself at Stoke or I'll bench you stuff"? Hilarious you can find a way to defend that.
Why should he have to sell him? They made an investment in him, and he signed a contract. They're laying the options out there for him. If he wanted to prove himself, he could.

If that ultimatum is even true, which I doubt.

Loaning him is totally irrationnal. Again, he could just sell him and be done with him.
They clearly don't want to be done with him. They want him to get serious, and see that he's not getting things for granted at that level.

Tottenham is starting to get thin.

Also you all need to remember that Klopp is German and Sakho is French. It's no surprise where Evilo sits on this issue.

Cue Evilo talking about every French player he's ever criticized to show his supposed lack of bias

I don't know. Lamelas inconsistency really hurts as a Spurs fan

I find Son is best at Striker, but they brought in Janssen so..

I don't get why Tottenham don't play a 4-3-1-2

Kane/Janssen - Lamela/Son
Eriksen/Lamela
Alli - Dembele
Dier
Rose - Vertonghen - Alderweireld - Walker
Lloris

or a 3-4-1-2

Kane/Janssen - Lamela/Son
Eriksen/Lamela
Rose - Alli/Dier - Dembele/Dier - Walker
Vertonghen - Dier/Wimmer - Alderweireld
Lloris

At various points of any given game, you will see these formations. The players have a great deal of freedom to do as they please. The second we have the ball, one of the midfielders (typically Dier) splits the Center halfs and rose/walker bomb forward. Front there the midfielders move around at will it seems.

Anyways, as someone mentioned. We're very thin at this point. Not that Bentaleb, Mason and Chadli were vital but they were capable players and key to our depth. We need to sign a couple more players. Ideally a winger with some point and someone with a similar skill set to Dembele. Oh and I wouldn't mind Isco.

In the matches I watched Eriksen and Lamela/Son where pinned too far wide as wingers, rather than playing the 10 and SS, respectively; when Tottenham had the ball.
