I agree that Keller probably doesn't supplant Ehlers or Connor in terms of potential and electricity but if all the top forwards are gone, he seems to be a great prospect for the future, I mean between him, Nylander, McLoed or Jost would you take any of the other 3 over him. I have heard Giroux comparisons.
Logan Brown is very interesting indeed, there isn't that much between him and Nylander in primary point production and I certainly wouldn't rage if we drafted him in the top 10 either but I dunno, I feel about him the way you feel about Keller, if we were drafting 14th, that's the guy I'd be drooling over to fall to us.
I would be as happy as I was with Connor falling to us, if Dubois falls to us, I know praising him here is like preaching to the choir but wow those stats make me drool everytime I look at them and the kid is barely 17. I wonder if some teams have him over Pulj @ 3. But I am not going to get my hopes up about him falling.
The difference for me in Keller and Brown is that players like Keller are generally better value because they go later then they should "by the stats" due to things like height etc.
The problem is Keller at 6-7-8 that's not a drop. I guess that's OK but that's nothing to get excited about. Especially because the ultimate upside is giroux, a very good player no doubt, but the potential upside from a guy like brown is just really unknown.
Honestly, I probably take Nylander over Keller, but at that point I'm really not fussed, Nylander Keller, Serg, Juolevi, Brown, there allnon par for me, and I take all of them over jost/McLeod/etc
Edit essentially the maximum upside in Keller is giroux. Now I may be getting way ahead of myself but the ultimate upside of Brown could be a players we've never seem before.
Then again, browns upside could be tom Wilson, and Keller's could be Tim Stapleton.
