I feel like the draft lottery was much closer to end of regular season last year than it is this year.
It was. It was the Saturday after the start of the post-season. So tonight.

In fact last year it was on the first saturday of the playoffs. So pretty much exactly 1 year ago.
I wonder if Sportsnet pushed for it to be two weeks later in some lame attempt to keep Canadian interest up during the first round?
I want to win
I want to win
A lottery win would be epic. Chances are about 1000 times better than a winning 50:50 ticket on a brisk night. Still, the statistical part of my brain doesn't really consider the possibility.
A top-3 pick... that's more like one shot at the between period "puck drop" contest. That's a bit more interesting....
Strong first period for Fabbro with two primary assists on Canada's two goals along with steady overall play. Pretty sleepy game so far.
If Kyle Connor lives up to the hype with morrissey helping out and maybe an additional defenseman in this years draft we could be looking pretty.Hard not to think this draft could be a franchise changer.
Jets are close to building a very solid team. A high pick that turns out to be top line type player could put them over the top, Imo.
May take a year or two, but many pieces are already here and are falling into place.
I want all the things that need to happen in the playoffs so are CHI pick is in reach of snagging Fabbro. Hopefully the Bruins pick a few times before us.

Were you the one that @ Pronman with the Bruins/Jets tweet?
Fabbro and howden stood out for me tonight, would love to draft either guy with our late first. Chych left me wanting more tonight, as did McLeod, I could see him falling outve top ten quite easily.
Not sure how you can raise Fabbro ahead of Juolevi based on a few U-18 games. Juolevi was an absolute stud in the U-20 WJHC, which is much hard competition.
