Ottawa is insane to have give up that Lindberg kid. He was the only guy in the OHL that could shut down McDavid and he is pretty sick himself. That kid is just NHL top two lines all the way. Just a total steal. And a second rounder? Unreal. And all contracts expiring next year?

Lou Lammy, with another whammy. Unbelievable. What an all star team management.

I really like Korostolev. I hope Keefe gets him going. I bet he has a cup of coffee at least in the NHL.

Boy is it ever going to be tough to make the Toronto Marlies next year. Adding Lindberg to the Marlies is just sick.

You're thinking of Cole Cassels. Lindberg had a good regular season on the Generals but his playoffs were nowhere near as productive.
Lindberg plays wing and is a good skater with a good skill level to boot--lot to work from there.
As for Korostelev, he's a swing for the fences kind of pick. He hasn't put up the kind of number's of an expected NHL, but we never know.

I'll admit, I wanted Strome, but some of the **** Mitch does, just having fun, just lights me up. Kid's a performer as much as he is an athlete.

I'm in the same boat with you, I really wanted strome. My buddy kept trying to convince me that marner was the guy but I was steadfast.
For me watching the cityv athelete of the week with mitch as a kid is really what won me over. Imo it just showed how his game is ingrained in him.
Obviously we won't know for a few years who is the better, or if there really is a measurable difference between them, but I am a mitchaholic now.

Both are amazing prospects. Even though I like Marner more, Strome is awesome as well.

I would love to have both, but Mitch is endearing himself to Leafs Nation through sheer sorcery. There. I said it.

He's a damn dirty wizard, and I think that's alright.

Ths clips is long but it starts with the city tv athelete of the week segment.
What sold me isnthe way he pays the game as a little kid. Imo it shows that he will always play that way; defensive responsibility, creativity and mad skill level.

I still think Strome's skating will prevent him from becoming an elite nhler. And while he's big enough to dominate junior with it, he's not all that big for an nhler.

I guess it doesn't really matter, the Strome vs Marner talk, not like we passed on Strome anyway.

Sweet goal by Mitch. Hope he has a big summer and is ready for camp.

Valid points of concern.
Many said tavares' skatign would be an issue too, and there is Hodgson whos skating did keep him down. Let's see which route strome will follow.

Marners goal was ok, just ok ;)

I do hope he has a great summer can makes the team out of camp. He will waste a year in juniors and it is that kind of skill be so badly need on the team.

I've been subscribed to you on YouTube for years, keep up the great work. In many cases, you're the only one giving us something to watch on a prospect. There are times I don't enjoy the music, but that's really such a small complaint. I'll bet there are 29 teams wishing they had someone doing what you do.

Cheers!

Much appreciated, Leafidelity..! Thanks for your support..! :thumbu:
