At this point, its better not to rush him. Having Kopitar in the second half of the season will be crucial. If we rush him back, he may get re-injured again. Also, looks like he is not on the ice for morning skate today.

I just hope it's not a ligament or tendon tear. By how he held it and the meds he's taking, it sounds like it might be. That would only become worse as the year goes on, esp if the wrist, which is used on faceoffs and gets hacked and slashed. HOpefully, it's not that, and he'll heal up fine.

So when all three return who goes down to the AHL. Seto and Dowd were top candidates at the start of the year but I think it's Nolan waived. Or maybe someone is dealt

What do you do with the lines when Kopitar gets back?

Pull Pearson off that 70s line and move him and Teddy with Kopitar?

Don't touch the current "top 2 lines" And figure out wingers from King Clifford Lewis Nolan Teddy?

Put him in the middle of Brown and Seto?

I could see Gravel going back down when AA comes off of IR, gives DL a little more time to try to get anything for someone in our bottom 6. Maybe a quantity for quality trade?! With Ontario being close it would make it easy to call him back up if we need him. Also helps that we only have trips to AZ and Anaheim in the next 3 weeks.

I would leave Toffoli and Carter together and I would not touch Brown, Dowd and Seto. So I guess that leaves Pearson, Kopitar and whomever earns it.

Seems Nolan and Purcell are sort of the two forwards with the least use on the team. One doesn't hit enough, and doesn't score. One doesn't score enough, and doesn't hit. Neither kills penalties, or plays much or at all on the PP. Could send Nolan down to Ontario with no cap hit, but so many vets there already. Could retain 50% on Purcell in a trade, but he's brought too much of nothing on the ice so far this year.

Tomorrow is my wedding so im little nervous right now and i will be leaving for 2 weeks honeymoon , but when i come back i hope to see all our injured players back and maybe come to a 10 game Kings winning streak .

Purcell is terrible. He's like me when I was 40 and my team won the championship. We moved up a division and everyone was blowing by me :)

I think it gets more interesting when Gaborik gets back. Ideally I would want:

Kopitar, Gaborik, XXXXXXX
Carter, Pearson, Toffoli
Dowd, Brown, Seto
Shore, Lewis, Andreoff, Clifford, King, Nolan

Move on from Purcell. Someone else is going to have to go too. Clifford and Nolan have been outplayed by AA for a while now, Shore couldn't score in an all girls college, and King hasn't been the same since his injury last year.

That said, I think we all know that despite playing terribly this year, King is likely going to be slotted on the first line or with Carter and Toffoli, with Pearson moving up. I worry that Brown will be moved up too. Even if he's earned it I would not mess with that line at all.

Options are limited, but if someone can be found to fit on Kopitar's other wing, that's a lineup that causes a boatload of matchup problems for other teams. Just gotta find a way to fill that slot.

Biggest mistake of your life bro. Rip

i think auger makes this team next year after expansion. a six foot seven forward who seems to have found his scoring touch at twenty two in the ahl. could be real nice in the bottom six.
