Sounds like Jonny Brodzinski will be called up by tomorrow.

I was leaning on not even watching the Kings-Jets game, but with Brodzinski coming up, I am going to be all eyes on this game. Love seeing the kids play. I hope he can translate his game to the NHL. It will be a big boost next season.

I didn't see this season as being salvageable and thought a good portion of the rookies called up this season would've been better served learning the rigors of the NHL. There was absolutely nothing to lose. Plus they're not teenagers so I wouldn't really equate this to throwing them to the wolves.

Anyhow, all we have to look forward to now is the progression of these young players. Sadly it has also left Ontario with nothing.

These guys prefer the crock pot over the microwave when it comes to prospects and I can't fault the results so far for those guys they let marinate in the AHL.

Would of been a lot more fun losing with some new guys with energy as opposed to losing with the guys they wound up losing with. I agree with that premise.

Hopefully Brodz gets the call and looks good. Gives us something to look forward to and then ***** about for next season when he starts the year in Ontario again!

They don't need Gaborik's contract to meet the cap requirements. The low end is what, 60% of the cap? That's like $44m, which is less than $2m per player for 30 players in the draft. Any higher priced guy lowers that number by whatever %. If Vegas takes Fleury, that knocks out a huge chunk.

Id be willing to attach our 2017 1st rounder if LV took either Brown or Gaborik...

I don't know what the tax breakdowns are in Nevada but I can bet they're much more favorable than living in CA. That alone could sway a free agent just looking for money.

Nevada: 0% state income tax.

Have to wonder if this is the real reason Lombardi traded for Bishop.

We talked about that around trade time. It makes sense. But Bishop has to want to sign there too, and I'm sure there are other teams that could use a goalie of his caliber.

Subtle smart move, just gives Vegas another card to take from us which is expendable.

McNabb's value I would gauge a 5th right now. Martinez could give a 1st + low end prospect while Muzzin could be used for a young forward. Would wonder if Muzzin + 1st would gather Lang from Colorado at draft time if Sakic has lowered the price. Might also be a hard sell with Muzzin's age.

With LeDue and Forbort looking better and better I would hope Dean gets traction for some forward help. We're flat out terrible and Sutters board game style system doesn't help. Give the keys to Stevens or maybe get a whole new fresh voice like the Gallant.

Damnit I was going to ditch it too, especially since we usually lose against the Jets.

Anyone know if Michael Amadio gets a cup of coffee???

Highly unlikely. His game has really grown since Christmas, but he is still a kid, needs to grow more physically mature. Amadio's style of play is very Lady Bing like. I see him very similar to Mike Richards in a lot of ways, except for the physical aspect. Also has a lot of work to do in the face-off circle.

Which I can't imagine would be enough incentive for Vegas to take either guy. The issue is the years left on their contracts. If they had 1, maybe 2 years left, then Vegas might do that for a single 1st round pick. It's 4 or 5 years of $5m or $6m of cap space though. Expansion team or not, that's still a lot. If it were me as the Vegas GM, I might take one or the other, but make it worth it. A couple 1st round picks. A 1st round pick and a prospect or two. Retain 50%. I would squeeze the Kings for all I could get, because the Kings are the capped out non-playoff team. I'll take your problem, but you're paying me double or triple the normal price.

I can see no reason whatsoever why Bishop would even consider signing with Vegas without seeing what other teams are offering first.

Because Vegas is pretty much the only team in the market for a number 1 goalie with the cap space to pay him what he wants? What other team has the cap room to pay Bishop and a need for starter?

Hey Jets fan coming in peace , the Jets might go for Bishop considering we finally have Pavelec coming off the books . Love your city and i go there every year , Sunset strip and concerts , awesome . Went to a Kings game against the Jets last year , love the Arena and met some very nice people . If the Jets can't make playoffs , which we won't , i hope you guys do . :handclap:

I highly doubt that, I believe Gabo has 4 @ $4.5.. so a top 15 pick even in a weak draft plus $1 mill retained is a good offer for an expansion team

Well, Bishop could make that guess, or he could wait until July 1st and find out for sure... Which seems smarter?

We trade the rights to negotiate with Bishop in return either:

If the Jets get a higher pick in the lottery Kings get it, and Jets get Kings pick.:)
If Kings get a higher pick then Kings get a 4th rounder from Jets.

Kings are toast and are not making playoff's this year.

I hate this ****ing team. Can't go and/or watch Saturday's game but am going tonight and was stoked to see Brodz.

Won't play tonight so they can "get him acclimated".

This team is a nut punch around every corner. Can't even do a call up right. Plenty of acclimated stiffs in the lineup that can sit for him. As a matter of fact, please don't get him acclimated to this **** style of hockey.
