Gropp with the secondary assist. Moved it to the point to Bear who went to the side boards to Kolesar for the one-timer.

Great watching the kids. Skating over to the glass, mom snaps a quick pick of a thumbs up, blows a kiss and heads back to the seat. Junior hockey is the best goddamn thing in the world.

I really enjoyed this WHL season. Still more games to go for Gropp, and we get to see Sean Day again. I'm thankful we still have a little more hockey to go.

I wouldn't mind if we also sign True to an ELC. Honestly, a very underrated player. Not sure if he is still draft eligible though

He's eligible. I'm sure the Rangers have done their due diligence on him while scouting Gropp. He's just so damn big and with another 10-15 pounds on his frame could be a weapon on a bottom line, especially given the face-off skills. I'd definitelybe okay grabbing him in the later rounds if he was still on the board.

Junior hockey is so exciting to watch. It's a shame I am 9 hours ahead of Seattle, otherwise I would watch more games live.

I would have agreed with you but he has not taken much of a step forward this season. He is good when it counts but his overall talent level has not moved up much the last 2 seasons. He is faster then most people think though so you never know but man is he awkward. I would invite him to camp.

Also Barzal deserved the MVP, he was dominant, if he was on the ice he was the best player on the ice. I really like Bear and if I had a choice of those two players to draft, it would be what my team needed more D or C.

Don't get mad about the Leedahl hit on Gropp, Gropp takes a hit like a bad guy in Double Dragon.

Was just telling a friend that True got hot at the right time and a TON of his production in the POs was on the PP with Barzal, Kolesar, and Bear. They were all fantastic in the POs.

Barzal unlikely to return. Kolesar can come back for an overage year, but maybe Columbus gets him in the system right away. Same with Bear. Wouldn't surprise me if he hits the road for Edmonton. And of course, Gropp is gone.

So quite possibly, the 4 best players (and PP Gods) are all gone next season.

Where does that leave True? Neuls on his left side I suppose (and he did break out late and have a nice POs). But on the right there is no one that impresses.

We'll see how True does next season as first line Center and first line on the PP. He'll certainly get a lot of ice time. But I have a feeling he doesn't impress the way he needs to in order to get a 2-way ELC from someone. If everyone leaves, he'll have minimal talent to work with. He could end up performing like Leedahl did when Leedahl was with Everett.

We had Ottenbreit at camp last year, teammate of Gropp, signed Leedahl this year, teammate of Zboro. It's fun for us guys following the WHL, to see these guys connected to the Rangers. True is a weird player who has had an up and down season, but his performance in he play-offs is something noteworthy. Not saying he has what it takes, but it might be worth a shot. Another PNW-based player I have my eye on is Bajkov (Everett). Very underrated player who might be a nice UDFA pickup one day.

True is likely gone since he would take 2 spots (an OA + international)

Think True can be like Hrivik in the NHL/AHL systems.
