Bless those Bell Centre Hab fans who do the "OOOOOOOOOOOOO" as soon as the Habs enter the zone with any kind of speed only for it to turn into an "AHHHHHHHH" when the shot is wide

Habs are gonna score before end of REG, book it, Winnipeg playing with fire, Im calling Pacioretty or Plekanec.

They might but they'll still lose

Habs D has been a mess for a while now. Claude has had one practice with a team coming out of the bye week. Unfortunately it'll look a lot better by playoff time once Claude works with it some.

Because he's such a good job turning teams around lately...in the last 3 years...

The Habs are not going to get better this year. That's where I'm putting my money. This idea that Julien is going to save that team from their destiny is extremely far fetched to me. They're completely healthy right now and they look horrible.

They looked horrible when they lost to the Bruins 4-0. Now, they've adjusted their system (admittedly, still a work in progress) and they look horrible...in a different way. I don't know why Claude Julien's success with an outstanding lineup in the 2011-2013 years should give me confidence for what he has with the Canadiens now...but it doesn't.

Hope you are right, but the Habs have been playing like crap for a while now, were coming out of a bye week, and had only practiced once with CJ. To say they looked horrible with an adjusted system is a bit far fetched. The system has not yet been adjusted. Give it a couple weeks then we shall see. Hopefully they are still playing like crap then as well, but I don't see that happening.

Did you watch the game?

The system has obviously been adjusted. The Habs forwards were all collapsing around the net in the defensive zone. There was AT MOST one forechecker when the opposition had the puck. The plan was "clog the neutral zone" over applying forechecking pressure. Way more D to D passes than I remember seeing in past Habs games...

I'm not trying to guarantee anything. But Julien's recent track record, the game I saw today, and the overall performance of the Habs since the second month of the season doesn't suggest they're going to go on some magical run with the almighty "system of Clode".

Shootout and OT are the only reason why Detroit isn't chilling in the basement with Arizona and Colorado. They are now 7-0 in SO.

So sweet to see the Habs lose. Sorry CJ, I wish you nothing but losses in hockey now. Refs did everything to try to give the Habs a win and still a loss.

I watched it. Made me glad to be a Bruins fan.

Unless Claude's system is now to turn over the puck as much as possible, I really missed the obvious adjustments. Habs were giving up odd man rushes all over the place. No sign at all of playing with less risk. Terrible decisions with the puck, seemingly always trying for the most difficult pass. They were outshot 33-20 and (as usual) seemed to be getting the better of the calls. According to the game stats the Habs defensemen had 10 giveaways. Jets D had 3. I wouldn't trade Joe Morrow for Nathan Beaulieu. Big job ahead for Mr. Julien.

When you sit back and play a lot in your own end,you better have one hell of a defence.Which the Canadians don't and neither did the Bruins.

Habs definitely were not sitting back. They were trying to play an up and down game and get the puck out of the defensive zone quickly. The number of times they made really bad turnovers was pretty astounding. Even when passes did connect they were fumbled away by the receiver quite often. Julien said he was not going to change much at first since the players wouldn't have enough time to learn. A wrinkle here and a wrinkle there is all that will change at first. Anyone thinking otherwise doesn't know they are talking about. The end game, playoffs, is what Claude and Bergevin are interested in at this point. I doubt it will matter since the Habs don't have enough talent to win the Cup, regardless of system and regardless of Price.

First game back from the bye week. Hopefully the Bs don't look that ragged tomorrow night.

Sure did watch it. I don't think you have watched the Habs much this year if you thought the system has been obviously adjusted. There were a couple tweaks at most. Claude even said he is sticking with the existing system for the short-term until he can see what he is working with and so that the players can adjust slowly to any changes. It has been stated repeatedly by Mtl management why Claude is there at this point and what is expected.
