Is zatkoff expected to start tomo?
I think Zatkoff has played his last games as a King.

taking Francois Beauchemin would be the tricky part He has a ntc

Text from an LA source..."The deal on the table is Muzzin and #1 prospect Kempe for Matt Duchene and Francois Beauchemin...The Avalanche want LoDue.... but he is untouchable"
I'm sure he's desperate to stay with a completely dysfunctional mess as his career winds down.
Was it also posted that the Mayor was saying NYR scouting Ontario/gulls.
And WTF is Beauchemin doing coming back. Cap won't work there unless they shutdown Greene the rest of the year.
Edit: The Beauchemin part makes this believable. Makes sense if Greene is out and a total Lombardi move.
Would we have to protect Beauchemin from expansion?

Beauchemin is making 4.5M and signed for another year?![]()
One exception only I think.
If the NTC/NMC hasn't kicked in yet.
its the extra year I'm not sure if the ntc comes to la or not If it does he has to be protected
He is also Left handed.
NTC's don't have to be protected.
Yeah, but a bottom pairing guy so Gravel or LaDue could play the off side. Plus with moving Muzzin out they'd have the same number of LHD as now. It's not like they're, allegedly, adding another on top of what they have now.
Edit: Be good to put with LaDue. Like those parachutes runners train with, if LaDue can learn to drag Beauchemin around when you drop the anchor he'll be amazing!
then its a no movement clause whichever one has to be protected He has it but if he waives it to come to la would la have to honour it ? i always thought no
There are only three reasons why a trade could/would void an NTC/NMC.
1. The player voluntarily agrees to waive it for the duration of the contract - I know of no players who have done that.
2. The NTC/NMC has an explicit condition in it that states that it is voided upon a trade - I know of no SPCs which such a term.
3. If an RFA who signs a deal with a NTC/NMC, that NTC/NMC cannot go into effect until the year that the player would have become UFA eligible - if he is traded before then, the NTC/NMC is not binding on the new team unless they choose to honor it and file paperwork with the League to that effect. This case is not that uncommon.
