Wish Craig Button wasn't on the broadcast. Very annoying. Doesn't know what he is talking about, but thinks he knows everything.

I could see Point and Chartier forming an effective duo on the third line.

Jake's been amazing but he needs remember how to hit something other than an open net...

Canada took over the game in the 2nd. Winning every puck battle, playing with a lot of effort and physical. Czechs can't match it, saw them slewfoot Virtanen, I don't even think they know how to hit! Hickey is looking very impressive, quick feet, big frame, and physical. Juulsen is a great checker, good solid two way defenceman that makes smart decisions.

I agree on Barzal but it was 1 just period in summer camp. I wouldn't be too worried.
Yeah, he'll have more space on the big ice (I don't think this ice is as big as the European one).

Not Playing tonight

But he played good last night, I forget who was on his line, but they were the second best line behind the marner line.

Thanks. Want to see if he backs up his yapping with his play, definitely rooting for him

I can see why some people aren't as high on Barzal. He's only average in regular play, but he's an absolute beast at creating chances and holding the puck in the offensive zone. Just needs to play his game to be successful, and I think his game will really thrive when he plays on European ice.

He looked better from the second period on when he started moving his feet

Hopefully he can have a bounce back year along with Haydn Fleury.

Both regressed since the draft.

Fleury more than Virtanen

Virtanen didn't regress. He didn't take off statistically like was hoped (goals went down, but assists and playoff scoring increased), but he is a more complete player than he was a year ago. Progress was made.

Point (obviously), Virtanen (was trmendous), Konecny, Fleury (to a degree), Bleackley, and Blackwood were the standouts for me in the game.

Was disappointed in Barzal, I've seen him play way better than that. Although the play of his linemates wasn't doing him any favors. Not a fan of Gauthier. Too many penalties.

First period was poor, but from then on, the game was ours.

I stand by what I said before these games

Fleury, Sanheim, Hickey are going to play big minutes for the WJC team.

I think our D will all need to pull their weight. We don't have any absolute stud defense back there this year they're going to need to bring it together by committee

I disagree. Those three guys are all big and can skate like the wind. We are going to be very strong on the backend, especially defensively.

Plus Hicketts will help out too. Not sure who the other two will be though.
