WJC: 2016 — Sweden Roster Talk

We have had it a little too easy thus far. Might sound crazy, but it might be in Sweden's best interest to lose tomorrow, to make them really fired up and wanting to prove everyone wrong in the semis.
 
I don't know what's wrong with the medical team. Why do they just tell already whether he is out of tournament for good. So many assumptions. Whats wrong with them!?

The reason it's nothing new is because he hasn't had a full contact practice yet. And that won't happen until tomorrow. It's fairly obvious at this point how they're following the concussion protocol ladder. Funny how they actually arranged a press conference in the first place, bit of a clown move.
 
So basically the team first decided on a pressconference to calm down media and then changed their minds because they realised that it could add negative pressure on Nylander?

The doctor even said himself that they wanted to have this press conference to decrease the number of questions about Nylander. Well done with that!

The impression I got from the timing as well as some of their answers ("Is the cancellation of the press conference because of William himself?" "(pause) This is a decision [the management] has taken") is that they probably thought it might calm the media circus a bit to get the lad out there, but that he perhaps felt uncomfortable at the last minute and they took the blame, as it were. Pure speculation, of course, but if that is the case the mistake was in deciding to throw Nylander in front of the wolves in the first place.
 
Can't rule it out that Toronto interfered last minute. But in that case they should've talked it thru beforehand.
 
So THIS is what i was talking about when wanting Nylander just to fly home so we can concentrate on the games instead there is a circus around him that is just unhealthy for all other players. Send the Guy Home he is hurting th team more than helping.
