Yeah he didn't practice today but feeling great. Expect him back for quarters.

This caught my attention: "Hittills har det varit en positiv utveckling. Mindre och mindre stel så det ser bra ut, säger Bergsten."

And earlier we've heard upper body right side. Could it be something with the shoulder/neck more than a concussion?

That means "he's feeling less and less stiff" correct?

Same time though, if it was shoulder/neck why would he be doing bike testing and such? That to me sounds like they are trying to exert him and see what happens. Generally you wont feel good when you exercise with head trauma.

Correct.

Well if he is Ready to Play he should! In short tourneys like this. Nylander is taking to much energy and focus from whats really important. Let him fly home and be done with it.

I think he's ready to play but the team doctor hold him back for safety reason. Pretty sure he will be back for elimination round.

Do you see it as a good or bad thing, nylander returning to qf, it is not always as straight forward that it make your team better at the end of the day. losing chemistry etc...And is he really in the flow after that? looked shaken, he should put at least 20 lbs to be successful in the nhl

Arguably the best player in the tournament, you want him in your lineup.

Also he was 185lbs at the end of last season. He's not small by any means. Quite a good size for a player of his height and skill level.

yeah sure, but you don't really know his current condition, because at this level you need to perform your best. Isn't it a bit risky?

Yeah I see, but does he have a tendency to look at the puck too much, because he did not see the swiss guy at all? I don't think he's got as much time in the nhl? still learning?

Yea that is definitely a problem. Luckily for Nylander some lines haven't clicked very well so it can almost only be an improvement.

Yeh he can replace Holmström in the first line, to give that line some more speed and creativity.

The swiss guy was in his blindspot. I believe he was in the same line of sight as his teammate. So when he looked that direction he only saw a Swedish player.

Doesn't get hit much at all in the AHL, just an unlucky thing happened here. His head is almost always up.

First time ever he got hit like that and you say he's got a tendency to look down at the puck? Considering how much he carries the puck in a game his career should pretty much be over by now if that was the case. I don't think he's missed a game in the last 3 years because of an injury, and he's always been playing against older and bigger competition.

What's up with Kylington, he almost made the team last year... but wasn't even up for consideration this year? And next year is the last year of eligibility ?

i've heard something to do with bad attitude

They had other puckmoving D's they thought is better (Forsling, Larsson, Aho). Personally i would give him the chance in the WJC pregames at least.

JFK was very impressive against USA, probably our best forward. He just breaks up plays everywhere with his stick and his body. He is also the guy who takes all the key draws and wins a lot of them.

That's great to hear. I have seen him play at BU and has looked very good, but was wondering how he was doing against the best amateur players in the world!

Thoughts on Asplund?

I think he's been OK, shown some flashes of being a first round caliber player but most of the time I don't really notice him.

Forsling: "We're going to win tomorrow", lol. You can tell he meant to say "we're going for the win". In before some media outlet isolates the quote and calls Team Sweden cocky.

I like this arrogance. More of it please. Canada needs a wakeup call, they have yet to play their best hockey in this tournament. Could be a springboard game into the eliminations.

He clearly said "we're going to win tomorrow" though... if this doesn't get the boys fired up I don't know what will!

I'm pretty sure he meant to say "we're going for the win tomorrow", as MrJonas said. That's at least the first thing that popped up in my mind. But who knows. If he really meant what he said, I don't mind

He probably did, English is his second language. Got to use all you can for motivation though :D
