8-3 today against the Czech Republic, after a 3-2 loss yesterday (U16, friendly). Svechnikov scored 4 goals - guy seems to know exactly what he's doing. Been trying to find footage of the goals but it's not that easy.

What's this have to do with WJC?

You confuse two Svechnikovs.

So it looks like Russia beat Denmark 5-0. Scorers were Kraskovsky, Kaprizov, Svechnikov and Kamenev twice. I don't actually understand whether Kaprizov scored the 3rd goal or Svechnikov. If Svechnikov, then it was a four-point game for him. Kamenev was 2+1, Provorov 0+3, Lazarev 0+2.

It looks like Lazarev - Kamenev - Svechnikov line rocks. And they say Guryanov was sent out for cross-checking and can now be suspended.

It's a good sign, although I wouldn't say "rocks" After Denmark, with all due respect)

Wow, the translated text seems like Bragin was really displeased with Guryanov.

Anyone have more details on the Guryanov situation? As a Stars fan, I'm really looking forward to watching him this year, so I'm hoping this incident doesn't hurt his chances of playing.

Bragin is tough. He could cut him. Anouncement will be made after the morning skate tomorrow.

My guess is, if he was at all on the bubble, he will be cut, because he would have to serve a suspension that would make him unavailable to the team for at least the opening game. If he was in a strong position in Bragin's eyes, then he could survive a one-game suspension. Two games, my guess is that he would be cut under any circumstances, because Game 2 is against Finland, the group's toughest competition.

Man, Bragin should take over the main Russian team. Znarok doesn't seem to know what he's doing. But that's a different topic. Displeased at how the main Russian team's been doing of late.

Would you say the Finnish roster this year is the strongest overall, out of all teams?

I like bragin, but let me get this straight, you want to a coach who's never achieved anything at an adult level

I know you didn't ask me, but no...

Finland is right there with you guys and the Czechs.

We have amazingly talented forward group this year, but our defenders and goalies compared to Russia is not that good.

Finland - Russia in Helsinki will be an amazing game, can't wait! :yo:

Has he tried? :D I like Bragin because he has obvious leader characteristics, at least at the Junior level - a guy who can turn games around if things are going rough. This has been a problem for the main Russian team - lack of team play and focus on one goal - victory. Guys like Kovalchuk and Radulov have been ruining it of late, take stupid penalties which cost the team goals.
