Perlini has been abysmal in this tournament thus far and has taken two bad penalties that have directly resulted in goals, yet he continues to get top line minutes :help: It must be infuriating for guys like Konecny that have given it all every shift

Lowry's new plan: We're the underdogs.

We're ****ed.

This doesn't inspire confidence when the team should not be the underdog.

Maybe he thinks that if he says it, Canadians will be less disappointed when his team losses again.

I liked the pressure at the end of the game against Sweden (I missed the previous part of the game, unfortunately) so I hope we can start now playing the best hockey :)

Anything is possible and I still believe they can play a dominant hockey. Let's start right now!! :yo:

GO CANADA GO

Hicketts
Dermott
Chabot

Fleury

Hickey

Sanheim
McKeown

Sanheim and McKeown have easily been the most garbage D of the bunch. The play literally dies on their sticks. Fleury has been disappointing and average at best, Hickey has been up and down as well.

The first three (Hicketts, Chabot, Dermott) are pretty interchangeable. Each have played pretty consistently and are easily the most impactful, which says something about this group.

Pretty obvious you haven't watched a single game.

It pisses me off. People complain about Marner but its been Point and Perlini that have been the biggest let down of this tournament. Just so ****ing embarrassing.

Konecny Strome and Marner should be the top line for this team.

I believe they will play the best hockey yet :) can't wait it'll be awesome

Sanheim was pretty bad the last game against Sweden.

Dermott
Chabot

Fleury

Sanheim
Hicketts

Hickey
Mckeown

This is just what I think personally. Hicketts had a nice game in there, followed by some pretty poor games. Same with Sanheim. They're the disappearing but sometimes flashy type.

Hicketts tries to do wayyyy to much out there. Good thing he is paired with Chabot otherwise he would be overly exposed.

He needs to simply his game and focus on his positioning. Love the energy but sometimes I just shake my head

Keep playing physical boys. Attack in waves.

Go Canada Go!

Why is Marner so inconsistent? He's invisible today. He really appears nervous and unable to relax.

Am I in the twilight zone, is there something i'm not aware of or is there some kind of inside joke in the forum? What the hell is wrong with Marner's hit? It's pretty damn clean. He charges a little bit, but the swedish player has is head forward and Marner is literally right in front of him; not a blindside at all. There is no way that Marner could have made that hit without hitting his head, since the player has his head in front of his body looking at the puck.

I don't get it why people are calling for suspensions, it's a clean hit. It's the kind of hit you want in hockey.

Marner should get a gold medal for that classic hit! Marner was not suspended so therefore the hit was fine. As for Canada they are too young and lack physical D.

And this is why Marner will always be the right decision over Strome.

Strome started the game off great and played like crap the rest of the way, like he's always done in big games.

Marner elevates his game when it matters most, that is yet to be seen from Strome.

Too undisciplined, lack of talent in goal and defence. Probably needed more leadership(coaching included in this assessment) also. Can't say we deserved a medal this time. Maybe next year.

nice Jab by Marner, save it for Chris Neil next year.

Strome, going after the refs after the game. Get over it son.

Virtanen will step up when it matters, dont worry guys.

All in all, I'm so dissapointed. The players just weren't on the same page at all, too slow and couldnt make the passes they needed.

I didn't expect the D to be like last years, but I also didnt think they were gonna be this bad.

Just have to looks forward to next year, will be cheering for the Fins for the rest of the tournament.

Virtanen is the worst player I've ever seen in this tourny. Awful player, if I was a Nucks fan I wouldn't want him anywhere near my team. They have Mccan to lead their young players goin going forward, no need for Virtanen.

1. We all knew this was a weaker team coming in + a awful coach = awful play.
2. Marner was the best player for team canada all tournament.
3 **** Jake Virtanen.

Today's result should not be a surprise. This was not a great team Canada sent. The core was not as strong as last years. Too many inconsistent performances from top players. And again, one of the more undisciplined teams(PIMS and long shifts) I have seen.
