Björn is bear but Björninen is kind of a mix of swedish and finnish. Often, the '-nen' ending in finnish means diminutive, so Björninen means 'little bear'. Perhaps some other meaning for sewdes?

No, but the mix of Swedish & Finnish i this case sounds funny.

There is a player called Hannes Björninen and he might become a regular FEL player but the guy they meant is Kasper Björkqvist. He is the captain of team Finland and has a bit more upside than Björninen.

But no matter how the game unfolded, you could put it into the bank that USA would find a way(or that Sweden would find a way to lose, rather).

Anyway, it's all about winning the right games now to medal.
