Call it the "Miracle on Ice." It was a very one-sided game, but that was to be expected by everyone. The USA was a well-oiled national team machine, as usual at the U18, but Russia did do a very good job of containing them to the outside and, while giving up a huge number of shots, as they conceded the zone almost the whole game, allowing mainly low-percentage shots from the outside or bad angles. It wasn't pretty, but it was a win in a game that was expected to be a loss.

Very interesting tournament opening day, Slovaks and Russians did a great job. So, what will be next?

OK ty. Puljujärvi needs to start making goals already. The streak from U-20 continues.

"great" camera work on second Russian goal which apparently was a nice tic tac toe play..
 
Tsn will show every team canada game live,they have brought
their own cameras to switzerland,so there are at least live streams
from their games.

I watched most of that canada-latvia game
and gotta say,even though canada scored 11,their d nor their g
didn't impress,latvia scored 6 goals,sure its the first game of the tournament
and all will improve,but still,troubling for them i think.

I think usa ice hockey federation brought a camera
with them so they probably show their games live too.

In the game between Finland and Czech Republic there were no cameras,
ergo; no stream, just few reporters making writing strories and
taking pictures.

The looks of it, there weren't many spectators.

Oh it's the former livetv.ru? That site was hideous by design (plus since it's Russian, aVast would occasionally give alerts) and the stream quality was really crap compared to wiziwig. Off topic but Rojadirecta and goatd are better for bigger sports.

The more hideous the site the longer it lives. I get psyched out sometimes by ppl(ppl who make the sites and ppl who use them too sometimes) who forget what's the main purpose of any site is. It has to work and give me what I need. *** the design. And that site delivered a good variety of streams actually if you used it properly. Btw wizwig was always crap, so I don't know what quality you are talking about.

And on topic: by the looks of it as late as the medal round games there will be proper streams from TSN. Until then there will be single crappy ones like the one for US-Russia yesterday and no site will be able to give us better streams.

Wiziwig listed Sopcast and AceStreams, language of the stream, streamer and stream quality. Only Rojadirecta seems to do that but they don't offer hockey streams as much as wiziwig used to.
