I'm interested in seeing what the jackets do tomorrow. I really am not sure myself.

On one hand, I could see them chalking this year up to injury and maybe doing some fine tuning by turning the ufas into assets. (I'll still miss Letestu).

On the other hand, I have wondered whether they were going to tear the club down when JK arrived, but that stalled when they went on their surprising run a couple of years ago. They might have decided to go back to plan A again and build around a select core (Bob, Murray, Savard, Joey, Foligno, Jenner, Dubi) and the recent draft picks, trying to jettison everyone else (well, except Clarkson because it won't happen) if there are any good takers.

- Letestu is resigned
- Atkinson is resigned to a short term deal
- Wisniewski+ is traded for a RW prospect and a 1st
- Boll is traded or put on waivers

Can't say that would be "perfect" looking at the returns on these trades. Wonder if Leopold gets flipped for a 4th or a 5th. I like Letestu and Atkinson, but if someone offers a king's ransom...can't turn it down.

Good because imo Atkinson is better then Connolly at the moment. If he gets 2 2nd rounders then Atkinson should get more? Bad because, one of the teams interested in Atkinson might not want him anymore with the addition of Connolly.

Brayden Coburn for 1st-round pick, 3rd-round pick and Radko Gudas.

Good because if Coburn returns all that then what is Wiz,J.J. or Tyutin worth? Bad because, I think TB could have been 1 of teams interested in our defense.

I'm tending to think punk is on to something. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see Leopold for a 4th or 5th be the only Jacket deal. Then again no one ever saw the Gaborik trade coming (I guess a few saw it going)

If memory serves me correctly there has been a lot more activity in the week leading up to the deadline than in years past. I don't expect much today.

No real traction in contract talks between the Blue Jackets and Atkinson or Letestu, either. Both guys could very well be on the move today.

With all the Rangers moves I'd imagine they're probably done.

Same for Chicago.

Have a hunch we'll be rather quiet today, count me in the only Leopold gets moved camp... with all that said I wouldn't mind a few moves outside of Wiz being in the moves.
