Skille is on IR and out for the remainder of the season..we shall get nothing for him at the trade deadline :snakehead

Didn't that happen with another guy the CBJ wanted to move five or six years ago where he was destined to be a trade deadline move and got injured and lost for the remainder of the season just before the deadline? I want to say it was a d-man but my mind is sketchy on this.

Milan Jurcina. Went from what was believed to be an unconditional 2nd-round pick to a conditional 6th, which was not fulfilled.

There is no way CMac is moved without getting a goalie back in some fashion today. None of our AHL guys are going to be anywhere close to ready next season. CMac knows his role, isn't *****ing about ice time, is a team-first guy, and has performed very well with Bob's numerous injuries the last 2 years. And he's cheap. I don't see a better option available. I would be fine with him coming back.

Isn't C-Mac on a one year deal? No guarantees he comes back next season anyway...or that the CBJ won't look elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, I like him as a backup but if the CBJ can get something for him (and might still re-sign him next season) you do it. What's the worse that can happen, Bobs finishes out the string here...Dansk or Forsberg back him up...and we lose a few extra games which improves our draft chances?

I wouldn't get all worked up over whether C-Mac is here for the last month of this season. If only backup Goalie were our biggest issue.

I'm not worried about this season, it's next season I'm concerned with. The return for him wouldn't be worth it, what do they get a 4th round pick??

It's fun to watch our board. It looks like multiple personality disorder. "OMG, we can't trade Wiz he's awesome" to "OMG, we lost the opportunity to trade Wiz because everyone else is doing something." and of course the ever present "every trade will be like the Gaborik trade so I'm worried".

I mean it's kind of funny how our mood swings so quickly based on not really knowing squat about what the front office is really thinking. This day can't end up fast enough for me so we can get through the extreme posts after today. :) And, yes, I'm sure I'll be part of the extreme at some point.

Again, he's a UFA at the end of this season. Trading him now doesn't preclude the from pursuing him in the off-season.

I doubt extreme posting stops today. :D

I keep seeing pics of the CBJ "war room" with its chairs and tables, it should be called a "bunk room" with beds...what a snoozer so far!

Again, what's the point of moving him for a bottom round pick? Why put him through that, staying in a hotel for 2 months, etc. only to try to sign him again.
