Yes. Yes. 100% yes.

It's clear that neither Ehrhoff nor McBain can sustain a high level of play consistent with a true contender, and I question McNabb at times, too. Getting Buff or someone of his ilk kills two birds with one stone as it kicks McNabb down the depth chart.

Pretty much. I really don't want to see an icing with McBain/Ehrhoff on the ice in the playoffs so I can watch them get matched up against Kane. If there's an injury and they're filling in that's one thing.

McNabb/Doughty
Muzzin/****
Martinez/Schenn

Buff fits that really well. Every pairing has some offense and some nasty.

Edit: Haven't read any hockey news in a couple days... are there any updates on how much the cap will go up next season? How do the Kings fit Buff and Lucic on the roster next year?

Need a miracle to happen in the way of someone taking Brown. Even then probably only fit in one without having to move out another player.

Goals scored in Lecavalier's 11 games as a King so far:

Lecavalier - 5
Toffoli - 3
Kopitar - 3
Doughty - 3
Brown - 3
Carter - 2
Gaborik - 2
Muzzin - 2
Martinez - 2
King - 2
Lucic - 1
Lewis - 1
Shore - 1

if the Kings would just play every game like they did last night...no letting up, great effort from the guys. Hope that doesn't falter too much during this upcoming stretch, would be great to lockdown the division sooner than later.

also, what a fantastic ****ing deflection by Vinny. Guy still has pretty crazy hands, something we haven't really had on the bottom six in forever.

sure was.

The way the quacks are playing Thursday will be a big test....for both clubs

Is Nolan a full time player with the King's next year? Any opinions?

No, I sure hope not. The guy is a poor possession player who takes a ton of dumb penalties in the offensive zone. He should be a 13th or 14th forward on a good team like the Kings.

is this accurate http://www.prosportstransactions.com/hockey/DraftTrades/Years/2016.htm

do we seriously just have a 2nd, 4th, and 5th rd pick this year?

Well, no one seems to know the conditions of the Livingston trade. I'm guessing that people are assuming that whether or not the Kings qualified him did not play into the conditions put on the 7th-round pick.

I get giving up the 1st in the Lucic trade, the 3rd in the Lecavalier/Schenn trade, and the 6th to move up 5 spots to nab Austin Wagner in the fourth round, but the 2016 7th for the 2014 James Livingston trade?

Maybe the Kings will go all in and package their 2nd, 4th and 5th to move up higher than the last 2nd-round pick. ;)

I clicked on that hoping it was written two-three years ago but nope, heh.

I loved Flash's game, but can't admit i know anything about his current state...I just don't see the fit for yet another winger.

Mayyyybe RHD Tom Gilbert for the bottom pairing and roll Doughty-Muzzin / Martinez-Schenn/ Gilbert-McNabb? No worse than Ehrhoff, shrug...but meh all around.

depending on cost I would be a-ok with gilbert.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Lombardi land Enstrom.

would sure surprise me.
His cap hit is $5.75 for three years. How does LA fit that in. DL would have to move out ~$3M just to fit him in the rest of this year, so not sure how he fits next year.

And Engstrom is small, speedy but has a hard time clearing people in front of the net and gets worked in the corners.

If DL is going to throw a package together to get someone I wouldn't mind for him to try to get Bogo out of Buffalo. Big strong kid, RH, and Dean should know him well from when we drafted Doughty. cap hit is higher at 5.142 but if he was actually thinking about getting Big Buff he should be able to make it work

Fleishman was red hot at the beginning of the season, but like the rest of the Habs, he has been awful the past 2 months, he looks tired.

Only Hab that would interest me is Nathan Beaulieu, great skater, he could become a D similar to Voynov if he's given the opportunity to showcase his skills.

Enstrom is not speedy. I mean AT ALL. One of the slower players on the Jets in fact. But certainly does NOT get worked in the corners. He is really good in the corners, very smart and effective. Clearly the front of the net is a term that needs to join employing enforcers back in the 90's. Not how it works anymore, it's all about positioning and gets sticks in lanes. He is very good defensive d-man that is effective in the corners, keeps attacks outside, moves the puck up the ice really well, and is almost always in the right position. Just not the most effective fit in the Kings system though, IMO and he's LD.

Bogosian has the same problem as Jack Johnson. All tools, no toolbox. Not a player Kings should really target, IMO.

Myers would be awesome, but someone mentioned the term is too much for too long or something?
