Laleggia with 2 assists (on D). 16 pts in 33 games thus far in rookie campaign. Hes been turning it on lately (albeit a good amount of games at forward) after a really slow start

I got faith in the kid. He has apparent skill and plays bigger than he stands. I think hell get some call ups next season

It's a pity that Hunt cannot translate his game to the NHL becasue he has consistently been a great offensive Dman in the ahl for years now. Just the type of guy we need. (Other than a true #1 guy obviously)

Think it was 1G 1A, but yeah he's been picking it up lately and his +10 rating is promising on a team thats been pretty mediocre and has a -4 goal differential.

Pitlick seems to be playing pretty good since coming back from injury as well. If this guy can find a way to stay healthy and keep it up the rest of the season you'd have to think they qualify him and give him a chance to make the team as a 4th line/13th forward next year. If it doesn't work out you can always waive him, not even sure anyone would pick him up given his injury history.

Its like TJ Brennan in Toronto. Guys can rip up the AHL but flounder in NHL. AAAA players

Whats that for? seems like a match penalty for not tieing down the strap if it was a fight.

Kramer and one other guy jumped Kassian from the bench as he skated by. There was about 5.55 left in a game that was 6-3. It was stupid and made no sense. Manitoba ended up on a PK for most of the rest of the game.

Would love to see a video of that.

So Kassian really pisses people off, just what the doctor ordered for the oilers.

Towards the end of this highlight package you can see a bit of the altercation. Not much to see really and they don't show what starts it.
I suspect Kassian was running his mouth as he went by the bench and someone took exception.

Anyway, the highlight package is worth a look just for some of the pretty goals the Condors scored. Damn they were rolling in that game.
If you want to see Brad Hunt look like a star, this is the video for you.

If Brad Hunt ever went overseas to the Swiss league or the KHL he could make bags of money. Unfortunately small and slow is about as murderous a combination as you can have as a player wanting to make the NHL.

Miller goal was a beauty, looked like Hamilton had a nice game. Also, Pitlick still has that sick wrister. Puck just explodes upon his release when he leans on it like that.

Condors get 5 goals in the third for a 6-2 win. Kassian also got a goal and fight.

Bakersfield sure has Comrie's number jesus lol. Thats 2 games in a row where he's been lit up. 3 point night tonight for Winquist and 2 points for Pitlick, who I believe is now ppg since coming back from injury after no points in like 9 games prior to getting injured.

Gotta think that Winquist gets an ELC at some point, and that Pitlick could get a call up at some point down the stretch to see if he can bring a little more at the NHL level than he has in the past, and see if he's worth qualifying.

Winquist with 3 assists. Now with 16 points in 15 games. Now tied for 5th on the team in points with just a few less games played. :naughty:

Watched the 2nd half of the game tonight, Comrie actually played pretty well till Kassian got the 3rd goal, then it was just like the dam broke, the Moose were very undisciplined and basically hung him out to dry for the most part.

In the 3rd period they Moose didn't look like they belonged on the same ice surface as the Condors, Pitlick also is playing about as well as he ever has at this point.

Apologies in advance if I somehow missed this in previous conversations, but what's happened to Slepyshev? Is he hurt, or being healthy scratched? The last game he played was like 4 weeks ago.

I think it's more of a case of Manitoba just being a terrible team. They have one win in the last 11 or 12 games. Last or next to last in the entire league I'm pretty sure. Winquist deserves it honestly. Been a pleasant surprise throughout his brief career thus far.

I believe he is hurt. Nikitin also has not played in the last 2 games. Likely sick as it is going around down here.

Winquist is a man on a mission. Pitlick is THE best forechecking coward that we have. Reinhard was total crap last night. On a regular basis Musil and Osterle are far better. I expected much more from him.

Every single viewing I have ever had of Musil screams this guy will never be more than a cup of coffee. Could just be ive seen him bad but ive seen him often enough that shouldn't be the case.

Anytime anyone says Reinhart is crap (who played decent in the NHL Imo) and Musil is awesome (who looks slow, and unimpressive in the Ahl) makes me question thier hockey sense. And just makes me think they have an agenda or bias for whatever reason.

I realize its very easy fpr one guy to have a good game and another a bad but still is just so hard to swallow. But...

Much like some people are willfully blind to Yaks defensive troubles yet trumpet every good thing he does. Some people just see what they want to see.

I have not watched any ahl this year. So my apologizes if Musil has taken a massive step forward and for whatever reason Reinhart plays significantly worse in the Ahl but from previous years I don't know how the quote can be anything more than a abnormality.

Musil gives a much more consistent effort. Reinhart is clearly much more talented, but frequently looks lazy. From what I've seen this year, you'd rather have Musil on the ice with a minute left in the game than Reinhart. I agree, Musil is probably an injury call up for the Oilers with maybe the upside to be a #6 or 7 dman. Reinhart has much more upside than that if he can deliver consistent results and gets a quicker first couple steps.

Slepyshev is injured. In truth, he wasn't doing much more than taking a roster spot, so hopefully the recovery time helps him get it together.
