Reading the news stories this morning, everyone seems to acknoledge the PP isn't working, including the players and Jortikka. Which is then weird that the coaches didn't (seemingly) react it it in any other way that restoring the original PP line ups. It was still mostly get the puck to Honka, who shoots from the blue line, or to Puljujärvi, who shoots from the circle, although the weakness of the opponent allowed for some extra ideas, just poor execution. Also reading Jortikka complain about the schedule, it doesn't appear there will be much ice time to work on the PP.
The PK is very passive and conservative as well, just a box standing on its feet. It just seems the team didn't prepare well enough for this tournament- that is on the coaching.
When it comes to restoring the original lines, I don't think that was bad call per se - the line changes were in large part to wake up Kapanen, who has been playing better, so why not.
I'm not going to be dramatic and claim there is no way we can beat Sweden, there's always a possibility of that occuring. Still, the lack of scoring is bound to catch up on us on this tournament, sooner or later.
