I guess we're getting every 1C on the market.

Seriously though, I'm generally a positive guy with the Rangers, but I'm starting to freak out a little. Nobody is signed. Nobody. No news even on most skaters, really.

I think/fear that Sather is making everyone wait up to see if he can nab a center, most likely Stastny. Make everyone who has been on this team and just helped them have the best season in 20 years sit on their hands while you find out if someone who may or may not even have any interest in your team is willing to let you give him an albatross contract. What a great strategy.

Obviously, it's not impossible, but I'm starting to think it's a real, real long shot that next year's team is nearly as good as the one that just finished. Forget better.

Going to regret it faster then the Richards and Gomez deals.

Even if it gets us the future Ryan Mcdonagh of forwards?

I guess he wouldn't be a terrible depth guy, but he's not a better opition at 3/4C than what we have in the system.

Sather is getting somebody. Have we ever known him to stand pat? If we had a legitimate first line center we are probably celebrating a title right now.

Yeah if, which one of those 3 falls in to that category? From where I am sitting those are all looking a lot more like Brad Richards than the 1st line center the Rangers need to go over the top.

No to mention they're about to lose a lot of depth to FA, and lost Dorsett to the cap.

Just getting any old center is not going to make this team better than the last.

Starting to feel that way, but I am going to give this team a much longer look this year before freaking out like last season, no matter how bad the roster looks comparatively.

I am a bit worried too, but in the past Glen has been very patient on RFAs. The UFAs I am starting to get the vibe they will be gone unless there's a last minute change of heart.

I just think Boyle, Stralman are going to FA. Dominic Moore would be the only one I think gets signed before tomorrow at noon.

I don't expect any news. And that is the scary part..

Boyle wants a larger role which we've seen what happens when he's called upon to do that...

Stralman wants like 5M per.

Pouilot wants 3M per over a multi year deal.

Moore is really the only guy who should be back based on that.

Massive upside, was never really given a shot with the Devils and the Canes. I think with the right system he could take off.. he's only 24 which is scary.

If you get him on a cheap 2 year deal, I would be very happy with the potential.

Probably pure speculation but it's definitely fueled by Spezza nixing that Nashville deal.

He wants to go to a contending team in the US that is a bigger market. Why would he not want to go to Nashville, the Islanders, etc... and even Canada?? It's clear as day. He wants a winner and to be a big star in a big market.
