Im leaning towards Staal and Stralman both being on the opening night roster - Staal without a new contract.
The offense will be a question mark, but thats what 2/3rds of the season and the trade deadline are for.

Dispite how I feel about Staal not really fitting Vigneault's system, I agree. I'd much rather have that money tied up in our strength (goal and defense) than to cut ties with Stralman over what will end up being an extra few hundred K and a couple extra years.
Is it worth it to hurt the defense to marginally improve the offense?
