Chelsea are top, so now I can start watching this stuff

Figure skating is amazing. Especially if you imagine Brian Boyle doing it

Watching the pairs free now. Now I wonder what if Canada's Kirsten Moore-Towers' partner was as tall as Chara. LOL

I can´t complain about the first real day of the Olympics. Two Norwegian gold medals, a silver and a bronze is a fine start. The only thing that bugs me is that we sholud have had the gold in the slopestyle too, instead of the silver. Ståle Sandbech had a better run than the judges gave credit for. But hey, overall I´m happy about the day.

He apparently went in the bathroom to take a shower and locked the door behind him. He didn't take his phone with him to the bathroom, and when the lock got stuck, he decided not to wait until someone figured out he was missing.

Me too but I doubt I'll stay up until 3am to watch
*pffft*, thats every NHL game for us Euro's (except the rare weekend day starts) :)

As for the downhill..it'll be very exciting, yes (in progress now, runner number 11 is currently racing. Miller is number 15, Svindal is number 18).

Miller has been best in practice throughout, so he certainly has the mental advantage :)

Edit : And the surprise appears to be that none of them won it... ah well.

I am way past my bedtime, but this downhill is spectacular!!!! Extreme jumps in this course!
hehe, yeah, i think i read something about Putin wanting it to be a "manly" course.. i'd say he has succeeded...lol

I got up to 82 kph going down a hill on my bike once and I was peaking, I can't believe these guys get up to 136 kph with just a pair of skis strapped to their feet! Very impressive...

In the various downhill disciplines, you at least have solid boots giving ankle support. Yesterday, during the Women's cross country, they were up at least 73 kph in cross country equipment.. now that is insanity :)
