OT: 2014 Non-Hockey Olympics Thread

I can't watch women's hockey. The lack of skill is just too apparent for me. Can't catch passes more often than not. It's like watching HS hockey.

Celski hasn't really disappointed yet, there is a lot of short track left to go.

However I do agreed USA has disappointed a bit but there are still some events that the US can get some medals


Another thing how come women's hockey doesn't have a Too Many Women on the Ice penalty....

I haven't watched a minute of womens hockey this year. I just can't watch hockey without hitting. It's like watching flag football.

don't the womens teams play vs DII mens hockey teams from time to time? Thats about their level i think. HS level is underrating them a bit.

I'm gonna be honest. I follow women's hockey as much as I follow curling. I don't. So I don't know how they do against DII
 
Guess I'm in the minority here, but I thought the women's USA/Canada was very entertaining.

sure there isn't as much hitting as mens hockey, but I thought the Canadians were very physical.

Still can't believe that second Canada goal counted, the whistle definitely blew before the line.
 
Jessica Schultz has SERIOUSLY grown on me in terms of attractiveness.

Anyway, someone remind me to check the final score of this curling match from today. I didn't watch it, and I'm running away from my computer and television right now. Ah, I'll just check before I leave.

Blasphemy!

Though individual start races are a lot more exciting than mass start, especially the longer events. Mass start is always 95% filler and then 5% excitement. Individual start is exciting all the way through.

Mass start on the 50k is idiocy, takes all the excitement out of it.

Sweden now has more CC medals than Norway, which I wasn't expecting, though Norway still has more CC golds (3 vs. 2).

Admit it--that's why you're so thrilled (although I too find cross-country, both watching and actually skiing, fun).
 
It's obviously important for the Swedes to beat the Norwegians in the Olympics. But they still got some work to do, according to the total medal standings. Norway currently 3rd and Sweden 11th ;)

She should honestly be embarrassed to show her face near any athlete again. You can see the guy is upset. Stop trying to fish a story out of it and let him go.

At least this shows that anyone can get a job.

Don't forget the 3rd follow up after hes already mentioned doing this for his brother and the tears are starting to build: "At the start it looks like you are looking up to the sky and talking to someone, whats going on there?"

****, I'm still livid about that interview. All while the cameras pan in closer and closer to Bodes face. GTFO
