Can't think of a more perfect fit for Conner Bleackley than Colorado. With the group of centers that team has/will have, this guy is perfect alongside any of them.

Excellent pick.

As soon as they said Conner Bleakley I said Sore Loser will be a big fan of this . They have the perfect mix of everything you would ever want upfront, fix the D and that can be a scary good team

He's a kid that can do everything. He won't have huge offensive upside, but I seriously thought someone was going to take him top-15 because of his all-around play and character. Similar to Justin Williams.

I agree, I pictured him or McCann was going to Detroit but I was wrong. Larkin is in that style of player though

So who do we like at 47? Ryan Macinnis? Dysin Mayo? Brycen Martin? Vladislav Kamenov? I know nothing about these guys just some guys who look intriguing from the mid-40's to 56 as ranked in ht ehOckey News Draft preview. Anyone?

Really depends on who falls into our laps. I don't know that you can target a specific guy when picking mid-2nd round, it's more or less what's there. One guy I'm really high on is Ryan Rehill from Kamloops ... if there isn't an obvious pick, he's a guy I would love to see.

Jack Glover too maybe? Can you give a quick description of Rehill? He's one guy I don't know a ton about

Should be BPA, but it would be nice to get some defensive depth. Might be a little too early for Andreas Englund, but he's a big defensive defenseman who likes to hit from Djurgården. I'm not sure about his offensive skill since he played for Djurgården's mens team as a 17 year old and kept his game simple. He would be a good compliment to smaller offensive defensivemen.

But if Vladislav Kamenov is available, the Jackets have a good group of Russians to help convince a player like that to come over and help him adjust to the NHL.

Could be a Kuznetsov and come over in a couple of years?

Big kid, rough and tumble and hard to play against. Not a terrific skater (probably his biggest needed area of improvement) but not bad. Big shot, but his potential lies in his shutdown capabilities and ability to keep opposing forwards honest. On a team that had a -130 goal differential, Rehill was on the + side for most of the year before ending as a -4 ... but that's against the best the opposition could throw at them on a nightly basis, proving he can play against skill guys. Plays hard (182 penalty minutes) but clean (played in all 72 games) ... if Milano is the scoring winger we've been lacking, Rehill is the bruising, stay at home defenseman we've been lacking.

Don't think we could snag him in the 3rd? He sounds good, I'd have high hopes that he and Heatherington could hopefully turn into our version of Mitchell and Greene

Possible he lands in the third. Also possible that Heatherington develops into that player for us ... but, Rehill plays naturally on the right side, and is far more physical. Really a different kind of player than Heatherington.

yeah thats what i mean, Heatherington more like Micthell and Rehill more like Greene. Unless you mean you put them as the same type of defensemen? I personally dont, Mitchell would be the better skater and smarter player while Greene is the tougher, meaner guy
