Was hoping for Kasperi, but Sonny Milano is a strong choice. I thought both would be gone before 16th.

Congrats on picking Milano alot of Islanders fans are happy the hometown kid went to a good organization. Enjoy years of this kid making plays with his stick handling and speed.

Milano might have a higher ceiling than Kapanen, which is why I'm assuming he was our guy. Kapanen would have been the "safer pick"; Milano is exactly what we're lacking in our system - really high end skill. He's not terribly small (though he is sleight), and is more of a long-term prospect.

Could turn out to be a great pick, or it could turn out to be a terrible pick. I think it's a good one, could be great value on a #16 pick.

Only for his stick handling, which is above par. I think Milano could be a potential first line player, but a lot will have to go right for it to happen. Think more along the lines of Jaden Schwartz.

I really like the pick. Plus, it spreads out our prospects a little bit with some of our other guys turning pro this year.

so, a guy who'll put up 25 goals and 55+ points when he's 21? I like the sound of that :naughty:

It's possible. He's a very talented kid, but I always wonder about guys coming out of the USNTDP until I see them at another level. How he plays at BC will go a long way towards projecting his development.

He is bigger than Schwartz, the skill level and styles are close. Hopefully he follows a similar path. This guy on a line with Rychel in a few years could be magic.
