Is it clear to anyone why Harding hasn't retired and given us some cap relief? Wouldn't that be the right thing to do? Instead, Russo says he's been in Puerta Vallerta vacationing. Unless he somehow thinks he can make a comeback elsewhere and retiring would preclude him from doing that?

We have plenty of cap space for this year. Harding's deal is over after this season. Let the man vacation, collect his last money as an NHL player while he tries to battle a horrible disease.

Retiring means no more $'s.

I don't know how Harding can continue to keep collecting money in good faith. I guess that was really the point of my original post. The Wild will need all the money they have when they buy out Backstrom [mod] this summer. Every dollar will help.

Pronger has done it for much longer, and for much more money. It's the way it goes.

How ****ing typical of Minnesota sports is it that we go on this insane run and then we lose arguably our best player of the year in a game that we would have otherwise easily won. The win is nice, but Zucker has been fantastic.

**** the Nucks.

There was a main board thread about Zucker recently. Wild on the mainboards is usually a jinx

It's nice seeing what an extended winning streak can do for you in the standings. Since the All Star Game, we've definitely gained quite a bit of ground.

Dallas, from -3 to +2 (difference in points)
Colorado, from -4 to +3
Los Angeles, from -4 to even
Calgary, from -7 to -3 (might be -5 if they hang on to win tonight)
Vancouver, from -9 to -3
Jets have been pesky. The only team we haven't gained any ground on.

i knew something bad was gonna happen when i saw that thread.

Nino looked good with Koivu and pomms yesterday, so hopefully he takes advantage of this opportunity. This could be really good for Ninsy

But we did - we were 12 back in late January, and now are 6 back with 3 games in hand.

Sutter sent back down. Not surprised...for an energy/4th line guy he was extremely underwhelming. Nothing like how he played in Chicago that one game.
