Random observation, but I remember thinking it was so stupid when the Islanders switched their jerseys to dark blue; after all, they're a 70's franchise, and that usually means bright colors, ala their traditional orange and blue.

That said, I'm starting to think the Rangers should just stick with their dark blues over their ugly regular blue jerseys (I know, I know, insulting an Original Six jersey, blasphemy...it still sucks), and it seems like they're beginning to agree given how much they seem to wear them.

If they're going to do that, they need to ditch the silly Yankees wanna-be plain font "NEW YORK" on the front, but yeah, it suits them better than it did the Islanders.

Either way, both NY teams are playing hideously boring games tonight.

I definitely thought they'd pretty much go through the motions and give up after the Rags got up 1-0 considering how lifeless they looked up until the 1st goal of the game.
