It's not worth it now. If we win a few or go on a streak, we'll completely mess up our chances at getting a high pick which this team really needs. The worst thing that can happen is if we win a bunch and end up finishing 9th or 10th.

No the worst thing that can happen is them losing sixteen in a row and being so mind****ed it bleeds into next year too. This needs to end this year.

Agreed, this team to needs to make a play for the hail mary shot even if the odds are tiny, just so they can shake things off.

Tampa pulls to within 1 again. Can't watch the end of this game.

I'm still a believer until we are mathematically eliminated. IF the Devils win both Ranger games in two weeks, then it's a two point difference with the same number of games played.

Sens win, need Jets to hold on now.

Rooting for an OTL for the Jets. Gets them closer to the Rags without hurting our Hail Mary moon shot.

Because of tiebreakers we would need the Rags to lose two more games nhdevil26, and that isn't counting the Jets who we would need to lose 3 games if they hold on tonight. All of this assumes we win 6 in a row.

Definitely keep believing, but ya it is a Pluto shot at this point.

I forgot the blimp Bishop was in goal for Tampa tonight.

Somehow the Jets have completely abused him. The Isles got 5 past the Everglades Loch Ness Markstrom too, and chased him minutes into the 2nd period.

At this point I'm not sure if it matter who is in net. We can't seem to score on anybody.:(

A three point game would be good. Kicks Tampa at least a point to improve their standing against us.

I'll take an OT Jets win!

Gives TB a point to catch us and really still keeps our miracle shot alive.

If we make the playoffs, we went 6-0 so it probably won't matter what WPG does.

Then beating Florida and winning 1 of the 2 Rangers games would be the best scenario. We would still probably get a solid top 8 pick if that happened. It really depends on Kovy. If he comes back I can definitely see them rattling off a few w's because they will be on an emotional high.

Three points really. People keep forgetting we'll never have the tiebreaker over the Rangers or just about anyone else we could conceivably catch, so it's gotta be an extra point.

And there's another team involved that's streaking too, that's a big problem.

We need the Rags to lose 4 regulation games in their last 6. Two to us, and two to anyone else. That would put us ahead of them assuming we won out.

We will need two or three Jets loses depending on the outcome of this game...again regulation.

Two regulation losses to us would put us two points behind them - three points factoring the tiebreaker. So we'd need three more points than them in the other four games - including OT losses/SO losses, since tiebreakers wouldn't matter if we actually finished ahead of them on points.

Which means we need them to lose two more games outside of the two to us and we need to win out. They can lose one in OT I think

They can lose one in OT, yes.

Rangers go 3-3, they clinch.
They need to go 2-4-1 at best with 2 of those regulation losses coming to us.

Hoping EDM comes back and wins tonight because it'd drop us to 6th overall pick while not affecting our miracle shot at all.

EDIT: and as I post, Minnesota scores again to go up 3-1.. **** Minnesota
