All I know is that the devils deserve a 6 game winning streak and at least a hail Mary chance of making it. They play too ****ing hard to be losing like this and its not right. I still think it was bull that Toronto got rewarded that late power play when they couldn't even be bothered to show up for the game.

It's not worth it now. If we win a few or go on a streak, we'll completely mess up our chances at getting a high pick which this team really needs. The worst thing that can happen is if we win a bunch and end up finishing 9th or 10th.

Well a Rags lose tonight gives us a hail mary chance. Rags would need to lose two more outside of the two they play against us (which we would have to win in regulation of course). Jets would need to lose 3 if they win tonight, which they are right now. They do finish the season with the Isles, Caps, and Habs so tougher schedule, plus they could drop a game against the Sabers or Canes. It would help a lot more if the Jets lost tonight.

I wouldn't. He's not a solution, he's a stopgap.

He has offensive creativity but isn't strong/big enough to stick in an NHL game. Seriously, this is this third try here for a reason. If he was good enough to play here, he wouldn't be playing somewhere else every other year.

Given that the Rangers still have to play Florida twice and we would have to win twice in MSG and in regulation I see slim chances of us pulling that off.

I think the bigger question is if you had a choice of actually knocking the Rangers out of the playoffs or getting a much more improved draft position by losing--which one would you pick?

Knocking the Rags out. People are both overrating our chances of getting into the top 5, and overrating the pick as well.

It is much more important for this team to end this season on some sort of good note then to lose out.
