False info, Dreger never said Coburn was being moved for 5th or 7th. Guess we can let go of the MDZ for top 5 pick pipe dream for now.

@Adater
Hears rumors of Avs trading Johnson and 1st for Hedman and 3rd. God I hope this doesn't happen.

Hedman is so much better than EJ that it doesn't compensate for the difference between MacKinnon and Drouin.

I think it makes some sense. Not that McKinnon wouldn't help Colorado, but with McKinnon replaces Lecav and Colorado get a future absolute top notch D in Hedman and Drouin who many compares with Sakic.

Pierre LeBrun ‏@Real_ESPNLeBrun

Chatted with Ryane Clowe, UFA July 5. Says he's unsure at this point what's going to happen. Loves New York. Rangers with little cap room...

Old news, haven't seen it posted though. Hopefully he tests FA.

The opposite for me to be perfectly honest. He skates and shoots well. Besides that, he is pretty darn avg in most areas.

He's still pretty raw, Atlanta should have given him an extra year before bring him in. I expect him to round out his game and become a premier forward. Hard to say if it will happen but that's his ceiling IMHO.

Pinacchio or W/E the Flyers beat reporter tweeted that the 7th isn't involved for Coburn.

The Coburn trade talk is NOT about getting EDM 1stR pick (7); it's about their 2 second-round picks which would give Flyers 3 in that round

That makes more sense, lol.

Sell! Sell! Sell!

It's like rumor tweets are dictating the market value on players and picks. Let's just hope something actually happens to accompany all this hype.

Face it, we're not going to make any big moves tomorrow. Lots of talk, but realistically nothing will happen. And hate to say it, but this team is'nt going to win a Stanley Cup. We need another scorer, and were not gonna get it. If any of you actually think bringing in AV will dramatically change this offense your delusional. It will be the same frustrating team as last year. Trade Kreider while you can, he's not going to pan out

yo bro thanks man. i agree. i mean why even start the season. coaches and strategies don't matter anyway bro...

Thanks. :) Still getting used to this mystical iPad technology.

‏@tpanotchCSN 2m told the Flyers no longer in the mix for Calgary's No. 6 overall pick. asking price too high

Hmm.. I wonder what it could be.

All someone has to do is dangle a little candy and Rangers fans go crazy and are ready to pull the trigger on all sorts of deals. Why would the Broons give up on Seguin? Can anyone tell me that? What are the chances of that happening. And they worked pretty hard to get him, nes pa?

Caphit. He will always cost alot. kind of reminds me of Legwand/Marleau in terms of potential. Could level out as someone who got blazing speed but doesn't quite impact the players around him or his team.

His situation also kind of reminds me of Kovalev in NY just after 94'.

To put it like this, if Boston today traded Seguin to us for Kreider, Moore and say Neives, i just don't think they would regret it. Kreider would bring alot to them at a much lower cap hit for 3-4 years (which they really need) and Moore gives them much needed depth at D.

I am not saying they couldn't get a better deal, but I don't think it would be a horrible decision for them to move Seguin. It's not like when Anaheim bought their own hype of being a N-S team after winning the cup and traded their much underrated 1st line center Andy McDonald (who brought tremendous speed for them and was essential in getting their big wingers up ice) to get room for Bertuzzi...

Also, gotta love the Vancouver goalie situation. Now thinking about trading Schneider because they can't trade Luongo's contract lol. Hope Torts likes dealing with disgruntled goaltenders.

Why the hell is Philly trading a good defensive dman for draft picks again?? Makes no sense.

Building around Steve Mason. I...don't...get...it...

Yeah for sure, he is the type who all of a sudden goes Correy Perry/Jarome Iginla on you and just starts scoring in bunches.

But I am always scared of player types like that. I just want playmaking ability or 1 on 1 ability (like Nash/Kovalchuk/Kane) from my top players in an cap environment.

Seguin for Moore, Miller and a 1rst.

from our standpoint, Staal would be preferable.

This is a good deal for us also; it's pricey, but if Seguin continues to develop, it is worth it.

Would NOT trade Kreider so quickly.

I have been right about certain things, and now that Torts is not a factor, and the powers that be understand how important it is to let this guy get there instead of holding him back, he will blossom.

Watch, barring injury, you'll thank me come end of the year.

Agree, there is some risk in those types of players. I've always liked him and have been confident he'll break out, I think he's too talented to not take that next step. He wasn't small when he came into the league but I do think he was underdeveloped. Starting to grow into his body a bit. He will always get paid based on his draft position even if he doesn't hit his max potential so I agree you gotta watch out for that.
