watch Clutterbuck end up on the Rangers... Doug Risebrough now pro scout for Rangers was GM of the Wild when Clutterbuck was drafted..

Thomas 2ed in 2014 and 3rd in 2013 to Wild for Clutterbuck

I would LOVE that. I'd probably break down on my kitchen floor and cry (dramatization).

NYR has a lot going for her, but a few things are missing. Most importantly she needs a man, but not just any man. She needs a triggerman. Winnipeg might get rid of Byfuglien to upgrade with Trouba. I mean Trouba's younger and Byfuglien got kinda fat lately. NYR is weary however of another popular name. She still remembers how things didn't work out with Kotalik. There's always Thomas, who has been loyal and patiently waiting for a while. Outside of that one night stand in Montreal he is still in another league. That doesn't mean he's some scrub. He has some positive attributes, but is he big enough?

Simple. We knock out the entire Jets organization with that chloroform, kidnap Kane, ask the Italian Mafia to help us bring Kane to NY in exchange for lifetime season tickets.

I think you put too much thought into this...

He needs to get heavier or meatier. He's got a shot and such but that alone isn't enough.

Vigneualt loves his defense too. Don't be fooled by Vigneualt's offensive hype, he's still very much a defensively oriented coach. Buff would not fit here with that weight.

Leads me to believe Del Zotto won't fit here either being the liability he is.

What? I was responding to the Thomas bit. I don't understand what you're telling me about Vigneault and Buff for.

if thats the price then he very likely ends up in philly

They pick #11, not top 10. Oilers would make more sense.

Also speaking of Philly, saw this on the main board:

Dreger on NHL Network. Said Holmgren has 2 possible deals he likes.
1. Coburn to Carolina for the #5

2. Coburn to Edm for #7 and 4th Rounder

I like coburn a lot and would argue that he is worth a top 10 pick but a top 5? It must be because of his caphit.

If that is a real deal, then we should be able to get the moon for Del Zotto. Coburn is a 2nd pairing guy on a good team. Not a bad d-man, but he's not a top pair guy on a good defensive team. If that's true, then the price for defensemen is through the roof and I hope Slats takes advantage of it with a guy like MDZ. Del Zotto is more valuable than Coburn.

Yikes, now Coburn anticipated to be possibly be on the move for 5th overall or 7th overall. Am I missing something?? How the hell is Braydon Coburn good enough for those high quality picks in a deep draft, yet MDZ isn't???

MDZ definitely is. He's younger, has a higher offensive upside and is defensively competent.

No one is saying DZ isn't worth that...

Dunno, but if that's the case if I'm Sather I start ringing up some phones.
