Killorn plays fine at center for them. Why move people out of position?

To accommodate Tyler Johnson perhaps. I'm pretty sure Killorn played a few games at wing. Either of them could be interchangeable.

I wonder if the Rangers stay mostly put this year on the FA front (and likely would next year too aside from Richards HOPEFULLY being gone), who they might look to target down the road.

2014 UFA class is pretty bad, Kessel is the only one semi-interesting.

2015 could be interesting though, with Kane/Toews/Krejci/Ryan.

Kane and Toews will be locked up by Chicago and Krejci by Boston. Ryan will get signed by who ever ends up acquiring him. Those 4 will never hit free agency.

Mmm, maybe. I still think Killorn will be retained as their 2C. Done an admirable job so far.

Like when they signed Jagr and Whitney. whoops.

They turned Jagr into assets and Whitney put up 29 points in 32 games. If Whitney plays well again this year, they can get more assets for him at the trade deadline, assuming they are out of it.

imo richards has to play wing, to slow to play center, we brought him back for offense, i would like our top 9 to look something like this
kreider brassard nash
richards stepan zucc
hagelin miller callahan

2 offensive lines and a shutdown defensive line

Asking a lot from Miller to play shutdown role.

We have tried Nash with Brassard, it did not work well. keep Stepan with Nash. Also, never considered Richards on the wing, might be something to try in camp.

Kris Russell on waivers per McKenzie.

Its a pity that he isn't a right shot... Russel is a underrated player who would work well under AV and actually wouldn't be a big downgrade from MDZ, but would come at a much cheaper price.

yeah then id prob just switch the centers, but i dont think those lines would be too bad would just need the first line to put up big numbers

Panthers do not qualify either of Peter Mueller or Jack Skille, but want to keep Mueller per George Richards

I want Mueller.

A winger that isn't fast and isn't the shut down the boards type is going to be pretty darn useless...

The Leafs have a MAX contract on the table for Bozak. They can't agree on the money. 8 years. TO offered less than $5M per.

so you would rather him in the middle over stepan or brassard? can skate well enough to play center and cant play 3c

Mueller is another concussion from ending his career. Go look at his history of head injuries. The Rangers are shying away from Clowe because of head injuries. Sauer wasn't qualified because of a head injury.

And that's STILL insanity for a player who hasn't scored 50 points at the NHL level.

I seriously can not comprehend what is going on in these GMs heads, WHY they're giving into the market and offering marginal players, star money. Why not just let them sit around, do nothing, and realize they're not worth what they want? The GMs are part of the problem here.

I'm not as certain about Briere because he wasn't as front and centre at the draft, but guesstimates on Lecavalier's next contract are around the five-year, $25-million mark. That said, there are a couple of executives who said they wouldn't be surprised if a team asks to bump that up to seven years with the last two at lower salaries to lessen the cap hit. It's also expected that Lecavalier will ask for no-move or no-trade protection.

Wow, someone could end up signing a really solid player for a sub-5m cap hit. Unbelieveable.

If Lecavalier is willing to go 1m per on two bogus years at the end, his cap hit goes sub-4m. Just unbelieveable on today's market.

27 / 7 = 3.85m per

Slats gotta go in on Lecavalier if he could be had for sub-4m per.

I just dont see what the owners wanted to accomplish in the lock out, because the cap is rumored to rise back up next year to close to 70M, and the GMs are still giving out assanine contracts.. What a complete waste.

I'm pretty sure that's illegal in the new CBA. That's why cap hits are so high now.
