Speculation: 2013 Offseason Thread Part VI: Buyout Season

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. out D is set. stralman is the most underrated player on this team by far. there is no reason to not want stralsy a part of this team.

for offense ideally a dz+ for eberle trade would go down. i doubt the oilers move eberle though and if they do, they would want a pretty big +. only other available wingers that interest me are clowe and briere.

I agree that Stralman is the most underrated player on our team at the moment. That said, I don't see where he fits long-term.

We've been waiting for a McIlrath like player forever. He absolutely has a place on this team.

Girardi is certainly a part of the core. I think and hope he gets an A with Richie getting bought out. Either G or Step.

That leaves Stralman. We still need a RH PPQB and #1. I don't see Stralman as that.

stralman had a pretty heavy shot in columbus. hopefully he can regain that. the one thing about stralman and moore is that they know how to get pucks through to the net.

Sather!!!????.. In all honestly, Sather's only "coupes" are he's great with RFAs and he's very good with trades. Just let Gorton handle all the FA :laugh:

Everyone is considered for the right price. Would Letang really be as offensively amazing without being surrounded by super stars though? You have to consider everything when you're contemplating giving up a king's ransom to a division rival.

any UFA McIlrath type dman to help McIlrath ease into the NHL?? no sense to have the pressure put on McIlrath to be the only tough physical dman.. and no i want someone a bit better than Stu Bickel :help:

Strachan is far from useless. By the end of last year, he was playing on the Panthers top pair.

Not expecting him to play our first pair. But for a 3rd pair guy, he would be fine.
 
Shane O'Brien to NYR??? he played for Alain on the Canucks. Sather has had some interest before..

Powe, Bourque and 3rd in 2014 to Avs

if Ballard gets bought out by the Canucks. id love if Rangers signed him.. Rangers defense is not as tough as the Canucks defense is..

Yes, signing the guy who was firmly in Vigneault's dog house makes a LOT of sense.
