From what I have been reading Cory Sarich and Curtis Glencross are available. That would be a nice top 9 forward and bottom pairing dman. I would have more interest in Glencross especially if CGY keeps a little salary.

I had interest in Sarich as a free agent, but I think the difference between him and Eminger is minimal. Don't see the point of wasting assets on him.

Glencross is interesting, though.

Whats the deal with guys like Matt Beleskey, Zack Smith, and Kyle Clifford? Any interest for the bottom 6?

id love all 3 but i bet they wont be available.. these are the type of players Rangers should try for.. all under the age of 26 years old :help: instead Rangers sign Asham and trade for Powe :shakehead over 30 year olds

Powe was addition by subtraction of Rupp at the very least. He added to our PK. He gives up his body and is tenacious on the puck. His apparent complete loss of any offensive skill sucks but we got rid of Rupp's contract.

You might want to do some research before saying something like this.

yea but Powe doesnt bring much other than speed and pk ability.. he is useless at even strength..

I think a 3rd line of Clowe Goc Glencross would be very solid. Or Clowe Goc MacArthur

I think MacArthur would be a very solid get if he was bought out. Great possession numbers, he's become underrated with his crappy season. Goc would be a great get from Florida, too. Not sure we can afford all of them them with Clowe, though if we want Private McDonut and Steppenwolf signed long term.

MacArthur is a UFA

not sure if posted.

Trading Cammalleri is not a guarantee, though. If the Flames acquire a top-line center, it would presumably be to play with the Toronto native. The Flames are also reportedly willing to entertain inquiries and offers for such players as Alex Tanguay, Cory Sarich and Lee Stempniak.

Flames blowing it up?

MacArthur is a UFA. Goc only makes 1.7 a year. Clowe I think would take a paycut to stay here. Richards needs to be bought out though.

I wanted Stempniak as a UFA last offseason.

Darroll Powe is virtually worthless. There, I said it. We got him for Mike Rupp, what do you expect? Hes the first to go. Asham and Pyatt can quickly follow.

Oh, I agree. Doesn't mean he shouldn't do his research before posting something that is completely false.

EDIT: Don't know why everyone gets on Pyatt, he had a very good playoffs. I'm fine with him on the fourth line as long as some speed is infused onto the 3rd line.

I don't think Powe is worthless, but I have to say that I have been somewhat disappointed in him. I seem to remember that he had a concussion or some other injury while in Philly and hasn't been the player he was during their SCF run.
