Jeanty is probably one of the few elite talents in the draft so from that point of view, I wouldn’t hate it. But it’s still tough to get behind a first round running back in a really good running back class.
I kinda agree with this.

Running back has become so undervalued that at some point someone is going to get a top five talent at bargain basement price.

Fields isn’t the answer.

They have to get past Jackson and Burrow in their division alone, but to get to a SB they need to get past Mahomes and Allen.

It’s like when Cowher had Kordell and Maddox, they had no prayer of getting past Brady and Manning.

Cowher had a major flaw in thinking he could go anywhere with Maddox.

He wanted to draft Shaun Andrews as everyone famously knows by now, and thought Roth was too raw to trade up for.

That draft was the wildest one in NFL history, and they got beyond lucky Roth fell. I still can’t believe how stupid the Browns were taking Winslow

Steelers can’t sit on their hands because Fields is a Maddox type trap - they have to be aggressive about moving up to find a rare talent at QB.

That’s why they should be building draft capital for 2026, but this team only thinks one season at a time - which is why they are the embarrassing joke they are now.

All that matters is protecting Tomlin’s streak which leads to idiotic and shortsighted decisions.

The issue is a weak wr draft class especially if you want a high end outside receiver.
It’s seems like a DL Cb RB DL type of top 4 draft
I do wonder about Jeanty because he struggled against Penn State and they didn’t use him as pass catcher this season

People that knock him for level of competition also have to factor in that when Boise State plays a team like Penn State, they really don't stand a chance most days. He played that game essentially looking down the barrel of a gun. There are multiple breakdowns online that showed how many yards he actually got while not gaining any statistically. It was incredible.

I’ve enjoyed reading mock drafts ever since we were rumored for Eli Ben and Rivers. I wanted Ben that year and got my wish. Where most the fan base just wanted a “Tackle”.

Anyway, I just want to say while looking at these mocks this year l can’t help but think of trade. Either a drastic trade up into the 10-11 area or trade for a realistic young Vet.

At 21 I don’t see anyone impacting this team the way it is designed now under Tomlin and company.

I wanted Roth also and was pacing for every pick after Eli and Rivers went off the board.

I still am in awe he fell, but so did Mahomes so.

Also all in on trading down and getting an extra first for next season,

Absolutely it was. Penn State literally said your not beating them and he was making chick salad out of it

I think its a trade down. I think the Texans will want to come get Equbka. Dell is out for next season

If he's as highly valued as Bijan Robinson, he goes top 10 and the Steelers never get a sniff.

If the league says he's not as good as Bijan Robinson in a year that feels kinda ropey at the top of the draft, gotta ask if he's really that top five talent.

Trade Pickens for a pick swap, we give up our 2nd and Pickens for someone's 1st. I think we could find a taker.

The Steelers are not in a position to trade out of picking Egbuka if he is on the board.
We have 2 slot wr do not want a 3rd

Unless it’s a draft day trade your not getting that back for Pickens. Only 2 times in 7 years as a rental wr got back a 1st. AJ brown from Philly and Adams from Vegas

Where ever he goes I don't think they will plan on him being a rental. And say it's Philly at 32?

This would bring things full circle for me.

Bringing Kent Graham over after he shit the bed for the Giants was my lowest feeling as a Steelers fan.

It was like one of those nightmares you can’t wake up from and I still have PTSD from watching him.

After catching Jones last season I got those same vibes and laughed about the idea history would repeat itself…

Totally agree with this.

Sign one of the following in each of the categories:

CB: DJ Reed/Byron Murphy/Carlton Davis/Char Ward/Douglas
SCB: Nate Hobbs/Mike Hilton
WR: Cooper/Slayton/Westbrook/Godwin
RG: Smith/Fries/Becton/Jenkins

And then head into the draft and take the best player each round, with emphasis on DL, RB, WR. I'd like to see them double dip on DL in rounds 1-4.

fair both Adams and Brown got new deals when they were traded.
If your a team interested in GP are you giving him 25 million a year and 1st
I hope it's a first. I was sort of eyeballing New Orleans. I was hoping to get a 2nd and 3rd for him. I'd be ecstatic for a 1st.
