I don't like too much roster movement at this stage. Assuming Clowe is not re-signed.
Kreider - Stepan - Nash
Hagelin - Brass - Callahan
Fast - Lindberg - Miller
XXX - Boyle- Dorsett

McDonagh - Girardi
Staal - XXX
DZ/Moore - Stralman

Hank

is a good team to build around.

Centre Alex Burmistrov is also set to become an RFA but there is talk the player will not re-sign with Winnipeg and his agent Mark Gandler has been taking the temperature of other teams to see if there is a trade market.

http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/sp...-in-talks-with-Bogosian-Little-210819181.html

Gandler needs the Jets permission to speak with other teams about his client. The player isn't a free agent yet.

Gandler has a partner in his agency. Todd Diamond. They have Brian Bickel.

Scott Howson is the Oilers Senior VP of Hockey Operations. He has always like Del Zotto. Sather inquired about re-acquiring Tyutin. Howson wanted Del Zotto. In the Nash trade,Howson wanted Del Zotto. Lowe and MacTavish have discussed trading the pick. I heard MacT on Mark Spectors show last week discuss trading the pick. They want a player who fits the age group of their core keys. DZ is the same age as Eberle. They are both 23. Hall is 21. RNH is 20. They aren't trading the pick for an older player.

Thanks for the refresh. Agree that Del Zotto makes a lot of sense for the Oilers.

Maybe in another couple of years, but next year, that team is a bubble team at best.

The more rumors you hear, the better the chances are that they are true.

Why is Yakupov worth DZ++, why was Yakupov snubbed for the Calder?
I can do DZ - Yakupov heads up, or a small + from the Rangers.
MPS doesn't do it for me. Can't score.

Does anyone think the Rangers should just resign their own RFAs, buyout Richards and just give new deals to Girardi, Callahan, and Lundqvist this off season instead of waiting til others can bid? I mean I don't think we will lose them either way, but as UFAs we might had to overbid to keep them.

Yakupov is worth alot more than Del Zotto (and I really like Del Zotto overall).

Yes. If they will all re-sign this off-season, do it. On top of not allowing them to reach UFA, they also will get a clearer picture of what they have available to use this off-season if they have those guys locked up. Would be a great move. Doubt it happens.

Fair enough but why?

Yakupov will be a 40 goal scorer in this league ala Kovalchuk. Young players like that are hard to get and his work ethic is almost second to none. He is a fierce competitor on top of all of that.

Love him as a player, I would add significantly for him i just worry about all the money on the RW.

move Nash to LW where he played the majority of his career, and there you go, there is your #1LW.

i will disagree.
Same top 6, quicker 3rd line, better 4th line.

The 3rd line has no pedigree and has a chance to be an awful defensive line. On top of that, none of them have proven to even be able to score consistently in the AHL let alone the NHL.

I like the formation of the 4th line, sure.

But again, you are expecting Kreider to carry a large portion of the offensive load.

You have Del Zotto/Moore as a shared position as if we'd lose one of them for nothing.

Replace Del Zotto with Eberle or Yakupov and our team looks that much better.

Kreider-Stepan-Nash
Hagelin-Brassard-Eberle/Yakupov
Fast-Lindberg-Callahan
Haley-Boyle-Dorsett

McD-Girardi
Staal-Stralman
Moore-McIlrath

Zibby and Silfverberg transitioned well, why shouldn't Lindberg and Fast?
Not the same caliber of players, but close enough.

Get it done Sather. (McDonagh)

there is no way we can get yakupov by giving del zotto. even if we want eberle we will need to give up a lot with mdz. they are going to ask for mac and there is no way we do that

Eberle is a borderline PPG player at a young age, so I don't know why people think he would be easier to get. Look at the return on the Kessel trade, maybe a bit more considering the circumstances, and that's what you're looking at.

Agreed. It'll probably take Miller, MDZ and a pick IMO.
